Those sorts of dreams are exactly what the developers were channeling in The Big Journey by EGT, a new slot machine found at online gambling sites. Overall, the game follows a pretty standard gameplay path, with the kinds of features that you’d expect from an average game at a good online casino. But there are a few bonus rounds that help keep things exciting, especially when players get the chance to play for one of four large progressive jackpots in a random feature.

Travelling the World

The Big Journey video slot is a travel themed slot that was released in 2017 by EGT Interactive. The game features simple but crisp graphics, with the images of the various famous landmarks which are used as some of the high-paying icons being particularly well-drawn. Nothing here is particularly striking or complex, but the simple look works and helps to keep the interface as intuitive as possible. Gamblers can try a free Big Journey slot at most sites, and there is no download needed in order to play this game: the browser-based software provides compatibility with most mobile phones and tablets, including iPhone and Android devices.

This machine features five reels and 10 paylines, with players having the option of playing between one and 10 lines, with up to 20 coins per line. This offers up a wide enough range of options to satisfy both low limit players and high rollers, though the exact denominations of coins available can vary between websites. For small wins, gamblers can match the common card ranks from left to right, ranging from nines up through aces. If you’d like to pull in bigger payouts, you’ll want to look for world landmarks, like the Eiffel Tower, the Statue of Liberty, and the Sydney Opera House. Two images of travelers – a man and a woman – round out the pay table, offering the top rewards.

First Class Seats

One of the things that helps The Big Journey video slot stand out a bit is several bonus features that players can trigger throughout play. First, there are the wild symbols, which are represented by airplanes. These not only substitute for regular symbols to complete winning paylines, but they also act as a 2x multiplier, doubling the prizes offered by standard combinations. Next up is the train icon, which acts as a scatter. Hit two or more of these anywhere on the reels, and you’ll be rewarded with a prize. Hit three or more, and you’ll also earn 25 free spins. During this bonus round, all of your winnings will be given a 2x multiplier, and you can retrigger additional free games by hitting more scatters.

There’s also a random progressive jackpot game known as Jackpot Cards that can be triggered on any spin. If you’re granted entry into this bonus, you’ll have to pick from 12 cards, revealing one of the four suits from a standard deck each time. Once you’ve matched three of the same suit, you’ll win the corresponding jackpot. The clubs jackpot is the smallest, followed by the diamonds, hearts, and then the spades prize, which is the top award.

Finally, we should also mention the gamble feature that is offered to players at the end of every winning spin. This optional contest gives you the chance to double your money if you can guess whether the next randomly drawn card from a deck will be red or black. Guess correctly, and your winnings are doubled; pick the wrong color, and you’ll instead lose your prize from that spin.

Bon Voyage

When you first start to play The Big Journey, you might find the gameplay a bit dull, especially if you’re a veteran slots gambler. But there’s a little bit more here than the straightforward structure might suggest. The volatility is relatively high, with some huge wins available from time to time for lucky players, especially in the free spins round. The addition of a progressive jackpot system is also a great way to keep gamblers interested: after all, there’s nothing quite like knowing you could win a huge prize on any random spin. Combine that with the fun, welcoming theme, and you might be surprised just how enjoyable this machine can be.
