Privacy & Data Policy

You can read Gamblib without an account, so the library learns very little about its readers. Everything it does learn is on this page: the controller, the logs, the cookies and the mailbox for data requests.

The data controller

The company in charge of reader data on gamblib.org is Solvantis Media Group FZCO, Dubai Silicon Oasis Headquarters, Dubai Silicon Oasis, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Write to [email protected] with anything about your information. There is no separately appointed privacy officer; that one mailbox deals with all data matters.

Server logs and the mailing list

Our server, like every other, writes a log line for each request: the IP address, a timestamp, the page fetched, the referrer and the browser’s identification string. Those lines help keep the library online, trace faults and fend off abuse, and they are overwritten as newer ones arrive. Requests reach us via Cloudflare, which handles those connection details too, to route requests and block attacks.

Signing up for e-mail updates with the form on the home page or the contact page hands your address to the mailing provider behind that form; it is used for those updates alone and deleted once you unsubscribe or ask for removal. Letters you send us stay in the inbox until answered; those reporting an error are also filed in the correction log.

Cookies

That table is complete: there is no analytics suite, advertising pixel, social-network tracker or session recorder in the code. Demos and embedded items are served by their makers, who may drop cookies of their own on their own terms. Browser settings let you wipe or turn down any of these, and the library stays fully readable without them.

Legal basis and sharing

Server logs, attack filtering and the cookies in the table rest on a legitimate interest of the publisher: keeping the library safe and in seeing which outbound links readers use; the newsletter relies on your consent, which the unsubscribe link withdraws. Data goes only to the hosting, delivery and mailing providers working on the publisher’s instructions. None of it is sold and none of it reaches casinos: an operator can tell that a visitor came via Gamblib, never who that visitor is.

Since the publisher is based in the UAE and its providers work across borders, processing can take place in other countries than yours. If the GDPR or the UK GDPR covers you, such transfers rest on the safeguards those regimes set.

Your rights

Under the law that covers you — the UAE federal data protection law, the GDPR or another — you may request a copy of your data, have it corrected, erased or restricted, take it elsewhere, and object to processing that rests on legitimate interest. Write to [email protected]; we may need a few details to locate the records, and we reply inside the legal deadline. A complaint can also be lodged with the privacy regulator where you live or work.

Gamblib is not aimed at under-18s and does not knowingly gather information about children.

Changes

Before any new tool that touches personal data is switched on, this page is amended to describe it and its revision date moves forward.
