That’s probably the reasoning behind the release of More Like a Diamond by EGT Interactive, a sequel to the popular Like a Diamond online slot. As with many of the most recent online slots released by EGT, this is a game that the company first developed for the live casino market, and is only now porting over to the iGaming industry. However, this one won’t seem like an entirely new experience for Internet players, as the machine plays very similar to the first game in the series, which has been found at online gambling sites for some time now.

Hard as a Rock

The More Like a Diamond video slot is a new slot machine from EGT, one that is scheduled for release in the near future. As we noted above, this title is both a port of a live title and the sequel to a very similar machine that can already be played at sites that use software by EGT. The theme is a simple one: it’s all about various precious gems, with diamonds naturally taking center stage. Several denominations of coins are available in order to make this accessible to high rollers and low limit gamblers alike, and the no download needed software ensures full compatibility with a wide variety of different operating systems.

This machine uses an expanded 4×5 layout, featuring five reels and 40 paylines of action. Players are hoping to make winning combinations from left to right across the reels, with longer combinations leading to larger payouts. All of the standard icons on the reels are based on precious gems, with each one being presented in a unique color and shape, making them easy to differentiate from one another. Diamonds are naturally the high-paying symbol, with five in a row earning gamblers 1,000 times their line bet.

A Bit of a Stretch

There are a couple of different features you’ll want to look out for as you play More Like a Diamond. First, there are scatter symbols that can appear on all reels. Hit three or more anywhere on the screen, and you’ll win an instant prize. There’s also a gamble feature that is available at the end of any successful spin, where you will have the option to risk what you’ve won on a 50/50 shot at doubling your money.

But the most interesting special feature on this machine is attached to the game’s wild symbols. These substitutes only appear on the second, third, and fourth reels, and fill in for any of the normal icons in order to complete winning paylines. However, these are no normal wilds. To improve your chances further, they will expand one spot to the left and right, giving you three wilds in a row. This makes it very easy to put together some long winning combos, making it very exciting whenever these substitutes show up in conjunction with high-paying icons.

The Jewel in the Crown

The More Like a Diamond video slot should be one of the more interesting new releases EGT will be coming out with in the near future. Inevitably, players will compare it with the original game in this series, and to be fair, the two titles do play very similarly. The biggest difference is that the new game features more lines, which means more action and more fun for gamblers. We’ll be posting a more complete review once this machine is available at online gambling sites, but until then, you can test out the free Like a Diamond slot to get an idea of what to expect when the sequel comes out.
