Readers of the UK’s Daily Mirror and Sunday Mirror newspapers will be very familiar with the comic strip character Andy Capp. This cartoon chap was created by Reg Smythe in August 1957, and ungracefully graced the pages of these well-known tabloids for 60 years. He even had had his own annuals as well as being a mascot for Andy Capp-branded snack foods and an American convenience store chain. The comic featured many other characters, some of whom pop up on this online slot – particularly his wife Florrie, or Flo.

Andy lives in Hartlepool, north-east England, and loves racing pigeons, playing darts and snooker, betting on horses, boozing at his local and watching football.
