Wizardly Winnings

Pulling on the twin themes of magic and fantasy, there’s nothing particularly special about this slot as graphically it’s rather basic.

There are 5 reels and these are set out in the standard 5×3 formulation, holding 10 paylines. You can adjust the amount you bet per line to create a total min bet of 0.10 and max bet of 250.

On the reels you’ll be playing with a combination of magical symbols and letters representing playing cards. The wizard himself is never too far away and if you visit the paytable you’ll find him larger than life, waving his arms and ready to begin an incantation. There’s also a melting flickering candle, a potion, a spellbook and a crystal ball.

While you’re playing the main game, the mysteries and magical themes of the graphics are somewhat lost, as the reels cover most of the background. However, with subtle flames licking around the edges and the inventive images on the reels, you’ll still be able to enjoy playing.

Bewitching Bonuses

There’s no actual bonus round on Crazy Wizard but you’ll still find plenty of extras on the reels which can help you to weave a spell on your prize money.

The dragon may be much feared but you’ll find that he’ll give you a helping hand as the symbol acts as the scatter for the game. This means that you don’t need to land the dragons along the payline, and they’ll count wherever they are on the reels.

With the scatter you’ll win a prize for landing just two, but the more you get the bigger the prize. If you manage to land all five you could even score a top win of 25,000. As well as the cash wins for the scatters you’ll also receive free spins too. Between 10 and 30 free spins could be yours depending on how many scatters you have.

But of course, the wizard will never allow himself to be outdone by the fire breathing beast and steps up as the wild for this slot. This means he can stand in for other symbols on the reels as well as offering his own top prize of 50,000. As an extra special reward, any wins you manage to line up using the wild will also be doubled.

Magically Expand Your Money

Although there’s lots of money on the reels, you’ll really be rolling in gold if you manage to win the jackpot.

The amount you can win will show in the tracker window on the main screen so you’ll just need to keep your fingers crossed that you’re chosen as the lucky one! Although in theory anyone can be selected for a jackpot win, the more you bet the more likely you are to be picked.

If you don’t win the jackpot you can still increase your money by playing the special Gamble feature. This is offered every time there’s a standard win on the reels and gives the chance to double your money.

The Gamble is a common feature offered in slots and regular players will have seen a similar version elsewhere. To win, all you need to do is correctly predict the colour of the card about to be overturned. You can then either collect your increased winnings or opt to bet again.

If you lose at any point, you will be returned to the base game without your prize money.

Enchanting Play

Crazy Wizard is an online video slot from developer Spielo where you’ll have the chance to do battle with magical forces and defeat fire breathing dragons. There’s not a full complement of features but high rollers in particular will appreciate the chance to play for the big cash jackpot.

If the graphics were a bit better this could be a truly outstanding game. But even without this, it’s still a very attractive play.
