The Avengers Slot Review

Comic book lovers and Marvel fans new and old, are about to embark on one of Playtech’s most wild slot machines yet; The Avengers is a 5-reel game that tries to bring all the action of superheroes to life. Delivering great graphics, a snazzy intro clip, and several bonus rounds, this slot is as beefy as Hulk when he’s about to smash into the enemy.

Even though this slot obviously pays homage to the comics, it’s mainly in association with the first The Avengers film, released in 2012. Consequently, all the characters look like the actors that play them, rather than adhering to the comic book aesthetic; personally, we feel it works better. Forming the Team

Just as the team comes together in the various stories about them, they can do so in this slot machine, only now you get cash prizes for them showing up all at the same time. They need to line up, in any order, but each of the familiar faces must be present – Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, Nick Fury. Once you have those on an active payline, starting from the left hand side and working over to the right, then you can say a big hello to the x200 multiplier being added to your winnings.

This is by far one of the most simple concepts for a feature, and yet it’s also one of the most difficult to trigger, and so a lot of patience (and cash) will be needed if you’re to see the team together like this.

Our Heroes

Even though there are many components to the bonus rounds in The Avengers, most of them start off via the Wall of Heroes Bonus, activated when you get three or more of the logo symbol. When this happens, the reel will replace all the tiles with the Avengers infamous A, with your task being to uncover three symbols that match.

If you fail to match any you’ll leave empty-handed, but get a set of three and a free games feature associated with that hero will begin. Users have Iron Man Free Games, Captain America Free Games, Thor Free Games, and Hulk Free Games.

Although they all deliver nine rounds free of charge, they gift different extras; Captain America offers up a randomly determined multiplier every spin, while Thor electrocutes the reels and adds additional wilds.

If you play The Avengers in demo mode, you won’t be able to experience the progressive jackpot of the title, but should you be a real cash player, then you have four tiers to work towards. The Heroes We All Need

When gaming companies create titles based on popular characters, we can all get itchy feet, worrying over whether they’ll get set the right atmosphere and deliver flexible gameplay, but we needn’t have worried with this one. Playtech have developed an excellent game, delivering high variance with reasonable volatility, making it an enjoyable challenge. Even the inclusion of several free game rounds is acceptable due to the finishing touches applied to each of them.

Even if you’re not a fan of the franchise, there’s a little something for everyone hidden along the 20 fixed winlines. Having said that, you won’t find simplicity or traditional gaming here, and so old school fans may want to look at more vintage slots from the brand, like Crazy 7 and Reel Classic 3.
