Put Pedal to the Metal

You’ll notice there’s quite a retro feel to Highway Kings, as the game rolls back the years to a certain extent. It might include bright and colorful graphics, but those graphics look like a bored kid could have sketched them out in under 30 seconds. The symbols all stick with the theme and have something to do with driving. The only exception is a pair of red dice, but hey, those could be hanging from the rearview, so we can excuse it.

You’ll see the game’s logo up on the top of the screen in yellow font. The big symbol you’re looking out for in this game is the truck, but you can still score some serious winning combos with the other symbols too. As usual, you’ll find that the wins pay left to right, except the scatter that pays from anywhere it features on the screen.

Filling up Your Tank

Highway Kings wouldn’t be a Playtech release if didn’t throw out a wide-ranging betting structure. You have a fair selection options here, which is certainly a big positive in our eyes. Looking at what’s at hand, you have a range of 0.01 to 5 for your coin size, leaving you with a maximum bet-per-spin of 45.00 and a minimum bet per spin of 0.09.

Hitting the Open Road

You’ll find 11 separate symbols in Highway Kings, with different pay values associated with each. The icons used in the game are a steering wheel, tire, pair of dice, gas pump, petrol can, and more. The red truck is the name of the game as the highest payout symbol.

The lowest values come from the steering wheel and tire, with just 10.00 for 4 and 50.00 for 5. The three trucks have the highest values. The green truck pays 5.00 for 2, 20.00 for 3, 150.00 for 4, and 1000.00 for 5. The yellow truck goes all the way up to 5000.00 for 5. As mentioned above the red truck has a whopping 10000.00 payout associated for 5. In addition to its high value, the red truck also serves as a wild. Finally, it also doubles any win when you use a wild, though that doesn’t work cumulatively, unfortunately.

The scatter symbol is shown by an exhaust pipe that has the word “Scatter” written on it. With two to five of these icons, you can win a bumper payout. They do have to line up consecutively left to right, but they don’t have to follow a set payline. Bonus wise, it would be foolish of us to say that the game is powerful, but it does have a few nice extras here and there.
