Moorhuhn Slot Review

It’s a crazy chicken game that was made popular by Nintendo DS gamers in Germany back in the 2000s. Novomatic liked it so much that they decided to transform this clucking mad chicken into a slot machine for slot enthusiasts worldwide.

Moorhuhn slot machine is packed with wilds, scatters, free spins, multipliers and the non-progressive jackpot will have you spitting feathers because it’s worth up to 250,000.

Bet low stakes at just 0.10 a spin or go all the way up to 500.00 a spin, if you have your eyes on a bigger jackpot.

Egg-static

Novomatic have designed Moorhuhn slot machine to look exactly like the game franchise – it’s based on a ‘shoot ‘em up’ chicken game where your job is to take aim at the flying chickens and shoot them out of the sky, or just pop the ones that are walking cross the ground if you prefer.

The reels take up the centre of your screen and beyond those reels is a farm scene of corn waving in the wind and an eerie sky. Symbols on your reels are in-keeping with the theme and consist of Moorhuhn the chicken, a watch tower, windmill, scarecrow, balloon, shotgun shell and card values 10, J, Q, K and A. Paylines are highlighted with different coloured lines running from left to right, which allow you to see the different lines on which you can win.

Starting Pistol

You can view all of the features, symbols, winning combination and their values within the paytable. There are other buttons that allow you to toggle your bet until you’ve reached a value you are happy to play with, the autoplay facility – allowing you to sit back and watch the chicken in action and the gamble feature (this comes into play when you win).

There is an egg-straordinary non-progressive jackpot of up to 250,000 to be won, all you need to do is gather the chickens on your reels – all five of them and you’ll scoop that jackpot. Minimum stakes of just 0.10 will return a jackpot of 50.00, but as you increase your bets – that jackpot amount grows and grows to a max of a quarter of a million.

Aim for the Bonus

There are a number of bonus symbols and features to look for. These include:

Wild – Moorhuhn the chicken is your wild and he will grace your reels frequently to help form winning combinations. He will substitute all other symbols, except the scatter to help you win.

Scatter – the shotgun shell is the scatter symbol, three or more of these will trigger the free spins feature.

Free spins – three scatters awards 15 free spins, four scatters awards 30 free spins and five scatters awards 45 free spins. All wins will be multiplied by 4 and if you can spin in more scatters while playing out your free spins, you will get even more free spins to play with. Now, you don’t have to have your free spins – because you can decide to swap these for the shooting mini game instead.

Bonus – by choosing not to have free spins, you will enter into a new gaming screen where the prize you receive is based purely on the targets you hit.

Gamble – any win on the paylines will trigger this feature. The gamble button situated next to the start button will highlight. If you want to double your cash – you go for it! Guess the colour of the next playing card and you will win – guess wrong and you’ll lose the lot.

Is It All That Lucky?

If you’ve ever played Moorhuhn – you will love this slot machine. It’s fun, whacky and serious at the same time – especially with that jackpot on offer. We love the sounds that accompany the spinning of the reels and when a win pops up, the timer effect gets your heart racing – do you gamble or not? Remember, the gamble feature is a game of chance and there’s no skill involved.

Another little feature that gets us excited is the reels slowing down when it’s looking for more scatters – this had us biting our nails. The bonus round is exactly like the game – you take aim, shoot and win big prizes. There’s plenty of ways you can win and Moorhuhn slot machine will keep you entertained for hours.
