Fisticuffs has had a total of five reels and three rows incorporated into the game by Netent, so it offers up a fairly generic video slot layout in the first instance. However, upon these reels, you’ll find such beautifully created, thematic imagery that it’s bound to make you smile. So, you’ll find boxing boots, boxing gloves, the time keeper’s bell, an urn with water in it and a flannel, a ring corner stool, a championship belt, a gold trophy, and of course, two competitors. The icons are quite simple in their design on the whole, but within such simple designs, the most delicate of features stand out, such as the patterning on the flannel, or the lacing on the boots. All of this comes together to provide an even greater visual appeal.

Alongside its reels and rows, the game also contains a total of 10 separate pay lines, and these are fixed in place, so are therefore non-customisable. However, you do have the chance to alter around the bet amount that you place per round, by changing the coin value and bet level parts. The coin value begins from its minimum of $0.01 and can be increased up to $1 per line. As for the bet level, this is able to be switched between one and 10. As for the ‘Diagonal Wild’, this is represented by the scrawny boxer. This will only appear on either reel two or four, and likewise, it will substitute for all other symbols. If one or two of these appear diagonally to a ‘Straight Wild’, the ‘Boxing Feature’ comes into play again. This sees the diagonal wild punch the straight, transforming the symbol above or below the diagonal into an additional wild.

There’s also a standard wild icon, which again, stands in for all other symbols on the reels. During the aforementioned boxing feature, wild symbols remain on the reels for one awarded re-spin. Stacked wilds can also only appear on reels one and five during a re-spin.
