The game provides its players with five separate reels and three rows worth of a layout, which offers up a familiar video slot interface. Upon these reels, you’ll find various different characters. In the first instance, these include both the starstruck pair to be wed, the girl and the man. In addition, the other two characters on the reels appear to be the bride’s parents, both of whom don’t appear to be so impressed by the upcoming nuptials. As mentioned, each of these icons is intricately designed, and they are accompanied by the regularly appearing A, J, K, Q and 10 symbols.

In addition to this, you’ll find that the developer has also included a total of nine separate pay lines, and these are fixed in place, so you cannot customise them in any way. Players do have the chance to alter the coin value around though, which starts from its minimum of $0.01 and increases up to its maximum of $1 per pay line. You can also change the bet level, which ranges from one to 10. This allows you to place a maximum overall wager of $90 per round, and this amount can be reached by utilising the ‘Max Bet’ button. Furthermore, Netent have added an ‘Autoplay’ button, which allows you to spin up to 1000 consecutive rounds at the same wager level.

As with any video slot, Bollywood Story contains various different special features, and this starts with its wild symbol. However, this isn’t just any standard wild. Instead, it is a ‘Floating Wild’. During every spin in the main game and freespins, these floating wilds will appear and land on top of regular symbols, turning into wilds. As part of the base game, between two and four floating wilds will appear on every spin. As such, it will substitute for all symbols except for scatter icons.

The scatter icon is represented by the blue gemstone, and this will pay out wherever it appears on the reels. Should you manage to spin three or more of these onto the screen, you will activate the freespins round. Three of these reward you with 10 freespins, four of them offer up 20 freespins, and the maximum of five across the reels will provide you with 30 freespins in total. During this round, between three and six floating wilds appear randomly on every spin, and additional freespins can be won during this round as well.

While there may not be a huge selection of special features included in this game, the ones it does integrate are very fluid and well made. The twist on the standard wild icon is a very intriguing addition, and everything featured in this product comes together to form a well-rounded game.
