With better odds than some of the most hardcore slot machine simulators, Up to 7 is a little more beginner-friendly than most games in its category. The rules are straightforward as it gets, and the old-school sound effects will take you back to the casino in an instant. You can find out much more about all the characteristics of Up to 7 in our complete review of the game.

Back to the Basics for Good

There are not that many ways to design a retro slot game, and if you have had the chance to play other Merkur creations such as the Triple Chance series, then you know exactly what to expect here. The pitch black background lets the burning reels stand out in the centre quite dramatically, surrounded by a familiar metallic frame and the usual Merkur command bar at the bottom.

The most prominent features of Up to 7 are probably the reel symbols and the sound effects. The icons are vivid and realistic, and if you look closely you could almost count the seeds in the different fruits spinning on the reels.

Each winning combination comes with its own original sound effect, which might seem like a minor detail but does help create a more engaging game universe. In a nutshell, Up to 7 has not a lot to offer on the design front but it still manages to leave a good impression.

As Simple as Child’s Play

As far as the basic game rules are concerned, Up to 7 is as simple as it gets for a slot game. The 3 reels are home to 5 fixed paylines, on which you can bet from 0.05 to 10 credits. The maximum possible bet is 50 credits per spin.

Adjust your wager with the plus and minus buttons and spin the reels when you are ready. Here again, you will find the max bet shortcut and autoplay game mode, ready to spice things up a little. The classic Merkur card and ladder gamble games will be available after each win, to give you a chance to increase your latest payout exponentially.

The game’s volatility might be average, but the RTP stands at 95.83%, making Up to 7 a little more challenging than your average slot game. It might take quite a few spins before you hit your first cash prize. The paytable of the game contains only classic reel symbols such as cherries, bells, leaves, grapes and so on. The burning 7s are the rarest of the game, with an associated cash prize worth 60 times your current line bet.

Nothing Beats an Old-School Slot Game

Up to 7 is one of the simplest and most intuitive slot games on the market. On the plus side, the game is ultra-accessible and has no real learning curve to worry about. All you have to do is choose your wager and spin the reels, aiming for a full house to add up the value of all your winning combinations. We must admit, though, that the paytable is clearly not as generous as in most similar slot games.

Joining Endorphina’s Ultra Fresh or Ultimate Hot by EGT, Up to 7 does not feature any kind of bonus. No free spins, wilds, scatters or anything of the sort. This can turn the game into a real challenge, which you will either love or hate. Players who are not afraid to take some risks and never rely on low volatility will not hesitate to give Up to 7 a try.
