There have been many queens and royalty members named Isabella throughout history, but Isabella of England is one of them who had a tragic and short-lived life. She was Holy Roman Empress, Queen of the Germans, and Queen consort of Sicily in her lifetime, and was the fourth child and second daughter of King John of England and Isabella of Angoulême. It would be at the age of 21 that Isabella would be married to the twice-widowed Emperor Frederick II of Sicily, who was 40 years of age at the time. This wasn’t the high kind of life that would be expected of a queen today though, as she was swiftly added to his harem of wives. She died at the age of 27 while giving birth to her last child, Margaret. The game itself provides the story in its own way, presenting reels which are filled with imagery of the brighter side of royal life. And not only that, but you’ll get the chance to re-write Isabella’s story, hopefully saving her from the harem of Frederick’s wives so she can marry a different suitor.

A Historical Queen

Even if you’re not familiar with queens of years gone by, this game will definitely present you with a wonderfully crafted option when it comes to slot products, so it really won’t matter. It’s presented on a five reel and three row layout, and it’s this layout which plays home to the various different symbols included within. Starting these off are some very nicely designed A, K and Q icons. Then comes the diamond-studded jewellery in the form of a blue-coloured broach, and two different crowns. Finally, the queen herself makes an appearance as a symbol, as does Frederick. Two other suitors have also been added to the reels.

While there are five reels and three rows incorporated into the game, it also includes a selection of 40 different pay lines as well. As with most High 5 Games products, you can customise these to suit your own personal preferences, which is simply done by utilising the up and down arrows. Finally, you also have the option to adjust your wager placed, and this is done by using the remaining up and down arrows to the right of the ‘Per Line’ box. Find Another Suitor for Isabella

In the midst of your search for both the queen and a different suitor, you’ll be in need of some assistance, and the special features of this game will certainly provide you with that. The first of these is its wild icon, which is represented by the game’s own logo. As a wild, this will stand in for any other symbol on the reels in order to form a winning combination, with the only exception to this being the ‘Free Games’ icon. Should you spin five of these onto a winning pay line, you’ll receive a maximum pay out of 500 coins.

As mentioned, there’s also the addition of a ‘Free Games’ symbol, and this works as a scatter as well. If you have the maximum amount of pay lines activated and you spin five of these onto the very first one, you’ll receive a huge pay out of 30,000 coins. Not only that, but this symbol is also responsible for activating the ‘Crown Feature’.

In order to trigger the Crown Feature round, you’ll need to spin three or more of the ‘Free Games’ scatter symbols onto the reels. Five of them coming into view will reward you with 15 freespins of the reels, four of them will give you 10 freespins, while three of them showing up will provide you with seven freespins altogether. The letter symbols of C, R, O, W and N appear during the freespins round, and if you manage to spell out the word ‘CROWN’ by these showing up on reels one, two, three, four and five respectively, in any location, you activate the multiplier feature. At the end of freespins, this allows you to choose a crown and win between a two times and 10 times multiplier!
