White Wizard Theme

As you’d expect, the action on White Wizard is primarily based around the wizard himself, together with some unusual symbols such as red dragons, yellow owls and green cats. The playing card icons are back and they look almost exactly like they did back in the days of the older reel power games, so fans will feel right at home as soon as the reels start spinning. As has become increasingly commonplace on the latest Aristocrat slots, all of the action is punctuated by great sound effects and animations, always adding a great sense of immersion when a win lands.

Gameplay and Prizes

With White Wizard being a part of the Reel Power range, you may feel like you are already well aware of what the game has to offer. However, the Reel Power, likes just about everything else on the slots, has undergone something of an update and this version is known as Reel Power 40. At first glance, it will look to have more in common with the Xtra Reel Power range, as you start off with 1,024 ways to win during the main game. However, this number increases many times over during the bonus games, which we’ll cover in more detail below. In terms of bets and prizes, there are no jackpots so you can focus entirely on the reels themselves, and the game uses a standard one or two cent coin bet to get things underway. High volatility means that as long as you budget well enough to manage the unlucky streaks, the good hits should always be particularly rewarding.

Features and Bonuses

Without the features, White Wizard would come across as something of a standard Aristocrat slot. Fortunately, the vast majority of the innovation has been packed into the bonuses and they kick off with the orange orb, which is a wild card and more than a little unstable – when it lands, it will drip downwards, turning up to three more symbols wild at the same time. The main part of the bonuses is undoubtedly the free spins though, and you have two opportunities to access them. If a whole reel of flowers appears on the fifth, then you enter a pick me round with a one in five shot at activating free spins. For a more certain outcome, you’ll want to land eight of the same flowers in view, something that is made easier by the fact that they come in stacks.

When you do reach the bonus game in either manner, you can be sure of the wins starting to pile up. As the wins continue, the reels expand to a point that there can be seven rows of symbols in play at once. When the reels get larger, the winning combinations do too – a full seven row board can make for 16,807 different ways to win on each spin, and that’s something that we can guarantee you won’t have seen before!

The features, particularly the expanding reels, are a rare sight indeed. However, that hasn’t stopped us putting together the very best online alternatives to White Wizard, which are perfect for those who have played it in casinos and want the added value of playing online, or even those that haven’t had the game arrive locally yet and want to see what it’s all about.
