On a 5×3, Wizard of Oz Ruby Slippers offers wilds and free spins to the lucky players along with a whole array of items and characters from the 1939 cult movie. Get ready to walk down the yellow brick road and leave Kansas behind for good, but first check out our full review of Wizard of Oz Ruby Slippers.

Back in the Land of Oz

Wizard of Oz Ruby Slippers has a familiar look, not too different from the first game of the series. In the background, players can catch a glimpse of a forest and the green glow of the legendary Emerald City. The reels are framed in a golden case, with a big and equally shiny command bar at the bottom.

Wizard of Oz Ruby Slippers is a relatively simple game with an obvious source of inspiration. If you are a fan of the Wizard of Oz story, this is the game to try. And more objectively, Wizard of Oz Ruby Slippers uses high-quality graphics that make it very pleasant to look at for anyone.

Start Betting Fast

On a more practical note, Wizard of Oz Ruby Slippers is based on a similar gameplay as Wizard of Oz as well. The 5 reels of the game contain 30 paylines, with arrow buttons available in the command bar to adjust your wager from 0.30 to 60 credits per spin in total. Use the autoplay game mode to place the same wager times and times over and see if this helps you score larger cash prizes.

As opposed to its older brother, Wizard of Oz Ruby Slippers is a medium-to-high volatility slot game. This made it more challenging for us to score wins at first, the 95.96% RTP being average as well. The paytable itself contains various original symbols such as hourglasses, apples and baskets or characters from the movie like the Wicked Witch, Toto the dog or Glinda, with a maximum reward of x1000 available.

A Little Help on Your Way to Emerald City

Given the rather high variance of the game, you will need to rely on the bonus features of Wizard of Oz Ruby Slippers to score big prizes. The jackpot symbol itself behaves like a regular reel symbol, but it is extremely rare during the game.

If you are lucky enough to score a long winning combination with it, you can pocket up to x12,000 at once – but this will require patience and a lot of luck on your part. The Wizard of Oz Ruby Slippers wild card is more frequent and will happily replace the other icons on the reels, but not the jackpot symbol unfortunately.

Last but not least, the Wizard of Oz himself can make an appearance on the reels of the game as a scatter; 3 or more will trigger a free respin, and up to 10 times the value of your total bet as an extra cash prize.

Defeat the Wicked Witch to Hit the Jackpot

Wizard of Oz Ruby Slippers is a more challenging version of WMS’ Wizard of Oz. The graphic universe is similar, and so are the basic rules with a higher volatility and a shorter bet range this new game felt much more challenging to us. Patience and plenty of extra credits are required, so let’s say that Wizard of Oz Ruby Slippers is best put between the hand of more experienced gamblers.

The epic story of the Wizard of Oz does not end there; if you cannot get enough of this magical land, check out Wizard of Oz Wicked Riches by WMS and see what sort of new twist the developers have introduced to the story this time around.
