That’s one of the things that has made Lock It Link Diamonds by WMS so popular. While the regular flow of play may seem ordinary, it’s the bonus system that has made this game a favorite in land-based casinos, offering plenty of drama as gamblers watch their rewards get larger and larger the longer their luck holds up. Now that same action is coming to online casinos, in a play for free format that should be almost as entertaining as the original.

Luxury and Elegance

The Lock It Link Diamonds video slot was originally a land-based machine, but is now coming to social online casinos that are a part of the Play4Fun Network. That means you won’t have to be a high roller in order to enjoy this game, as anyone can play for free at a number of great sites and apps that are part of this network. The software these platforms run on is also mobile-optimized, which means you’ll be able to enjoy this offering on your tablet or iPhone if you like.

In terms of theme, this is a game that is all about living a life of luxury. That starts with the background scenery, which shows a huge foyer from a mansion, complete with crystal chandeliers and spiral staircases. The cool blue and purple color scheme adds to the elegant atmosphere, while the diamond motif can be see al throughout the symbols and icons on the reels, many of which are glittering to stand out against the darker reels.

Win Any Way You Like

The Lock It Link Diamonds video slot is a five reel machine that utilizes the 243 ways to win system of gameplay. That means that you won’t have to worry about mundane things like paylines: any consecutive left to right matching combination will win, regardless of position. The only thing to keep in mind is that you’ll need to hit three in a row in order to score a win, and as you would expect, longer matches result in larger rewards.

For smaller wins, players will be looking to match the four card game suits: hearts, spades, clubs, and – naturally – diamonds. Larger payouts come from a variety of nightlife and wealth-themed symbols, like martini glasses, rings, watches, and dice. Finally, a beautiful woman showing off her jewelry offers the highest payouts, awarding 125 coins for a five-in-a-row win. In addition, gold bars act as wild symbols, and come stacked, allowing you to fill up an entire reel with substitutes. In fact, if one of these icons takes part in any win, it will shift to cover the whole reel, providing you with the maximum possible benefit.

Making a Chain

The key special symbols in this game are the heart icons. You’ll see these scattered around the reels in two types: red ones that come with a number of credits, and gold ones that feature one of four bonus prizes, including progressive jackpots. If any three or more of these hearts appear anywhere on the same row, this will trigger the Lock It Link feature, with the hearts being merged together so that they are all touching (if they weren’t already).

At this point, you’ll be given three additional spins. On these spins, any additional heart that borders your current group will be added to the collection. This will both increase your credit rewards, and reset your number of remaining spins to three. Heart icons that aren’t linked to a group will stay on the screen, but will not award prizes unless they later become connected. The round continues until you run out of spins, at which point you’ll collect all of the payouts that appear on screen.

If you hit three or more diamonds on the screen at any time, you’ll trigger a free spins round. The biggest advantage to these free plays is the fact that more hearts will appear on the screen than in normal play, greatly increasing your chances of triggering the special bonus round. In fact, it isn’t rare to see the special feature trigger multiple times in a single free spins round, so you can expect to win big even with just 6 free plays.

A Game with Heart

They say that diamonds are forever, and while it’s unlikely that this machine will last quite that long, we expect that gamblers will be enjoying this title for a long time to come. The key to its popularity is undoubtedly the intense Lock it Link feature, which is filled with suspense and drama each time you play. Even in a play for free version, there’s still plenty of excitement as the prizes mount with every new heart that appears. If you’ve never had the chance to play this title in a live casino, we think you’ll love trying this one out at your favorite social casino site.
