When the Screen Comes to Life

Aztec Warrior Princess goes for the fully immersive experience, with giant symbols spinning right onto a massive stone wall in the centre of the game screen. The thick vegetation and command bar framing the reels on every side are beautifully decorated with Aztec glyphs, with the occasional local bug crawling around. Aztec Warrior Princess almost feels alive thanks to the large amount of details, sound effects and subtle animations that the Play’n Go developers have included on the screen. The whole Aztec theme is fairly common on the slot game market, but Aztec Warrior Princess does stand out nonetheless thanks to its beautiful graphic universe.

Customise Your Settings at Will

The 5 reels and 20 paylines of Aztec Warrior Princess allow players to bet from 0.20 to only 25 credits per spin, which is less than we had expected. The medium variance and equally average RTP of 96.69% turn Aztec Warrior Princess into a relatively dynamic challenge, but not exactly exceptional either. You can easily customise your settings in the command bar, with bet max and autoplay shortcuts available. The card icons on the paytable are followed by colourful tropical frogs, jaguars, eagles and the god Quetzalcoatl. This short selection of symbol can unlock prizes going up to x1000 at most, which is very decent. We were simply expecting more colourful symbols in the base game, but Aztec Warrior Princess makes up for that with its generous bonus features.

A Little Extra Boost

The golden Aztec emblem is your go-to wild card in Aztec Warrior Princess, ready to replace the other symbols on the reels. You can even create wild combinations worth up to x5000, if you are extremely lucky. The princess herself can also show up on the reels as a scatter, able to offer up to 15 free spins, without any specific multiplier, unfortunately. The decorated skulls appearing on the screen, lined up or not, are the key to a simple pick-and-win mini game. Choose the right skull in view to unlock a surprise reward, nothing more and nothing less. Our advice is to not count on this elusive bonus too much to win big in Aztec Warrior Princess, but to focus on the free spins instead.

Aztec Warrior Princess is a fairly classic slot game that fits right in the most popular trends of the moment. What makes it really stand out is its beautiful graphics atmosphere alone. The paytable was a little too short to our taste, and we really could have used more original symbols in the base game. The skull mini game definitely felt a little too simplistic to us as well. Compared to the epic settings of Aztec Warrior Princess, a simple pick-and-win challenge didn’t really do the trick. Overall, we enjoyed playing Aztec Warrior Princess but also felt that the Play’n Go developers could have gone much further.
