Mythical and magic-themed online slots have always been popular with punters at the many real money casinos online, and we are sure that the free Eye of the Dragon slot will prove to be the same. Eye of the Dragon delivers bonus features such as free spins, expanding symbols and wild scatter symbols, plus a bonus round you can take advantage of when spinning this 5-reel, 10-payline slot.

You can also enjoy this entertaining free online slot using a plethora of mobile devices, due to it offering great compatibility. As long as you have an Android, iOS or Windows-powered device and an internet connection, you can get spinning no matter where you are.

A Winged Welcome

What will impress you first and foremost about the free Eye of the Dragon video slot is the obvious work that has been put into the aesthetics of the game. While you will have probably played at slots with better graphics, you can just tell that Novomatic wanted to create something of real beauty with the Eye of the Dragon slot.

In the background, you will notice a dark and mystical forest, but it’s what is on the reels that will grab your attention the most. Here you will see symbols such as fearless warriors, bow-wielding archers, ferocious tigers, majestic horses and playing card symbols ranging from 10 through to Ace. The archers are responsible for the biggest payouts on Eye of the Dragon, with an eye-watering 5,000x the line bet awarded when finding five of them on an active payline.

The scary-looking Dragon’s Eye symbol is the games wild scatter symbol, which will substitute for all other symbols on the reels as well as play its part in activating the free spins round. It will also bring payouts in its own right when landed in winning combinations. You will earn 20x, 200x and a whopping 2,000x the line bet when finding the Dragon’s Eye three, four or five times on an active win line respectively.

Fire-Breathing Features

We have already mentioned the Eye of the Dragon symbol and its dual purpose on the reels. You’ll be pleased to know it also has a third role – that of activating the main bonus feature on the slot, which is 10 free spins. This is no ordinary free spins round, though. Before the round starts, a random symbol on the reels will expand to fill up the entire reel that it is on. This symbol then locks into place, adding to your potential of forming winning combinations throughout the 10 free spins you have been given.

Then, during the free spins round, if you land that random symbol, it will expand to cover three positions on the reels. That will allow you to earn wins from winning combinations in any direction.

A Dragon’s Love of Gold

Dragons love their gold even more than we do, and they will not part with it easily as they also keep an eye on yours. In Eye of the Dragon, you will have to tempt the dragon with your own gold at first, in the hope that the reels will see you trick the creature into paying out a good portion from its own collection.

The minimum you will need to spin up the full ten reels on Eye of the Tiger is one coin. Should you feel a little lucky and have the confidence to wager more, there is a max bet of 10 coins per spin. This can all be changed up incrementally, and you can also choose how many of the ten paylines to cover with your bets.

Double Dragon

Dragon-themed slots are fairly commonplace at online casinos, so it will never take you long to locate another. If you’re a fan of fire-breathing creatures with a penchant for gold, we have a couple of suggestions we think will suit you right down to the ground.

Dragon Kingdom by Playtech is one slot that might get your juices flowing. Expect a few more bonus features on this 5-reel, 20-payline slot than what is offered on Eye of the Dragon. These include free spins, multipliers wild symbols and an innovative egg split feature.

Another online slot that features these winged beasts is Pearl of the Dragon from the development team at Spin Games. This is a 243-ways-to win slot containing good graphics and two different wild symbols which, when found in the same winning combination, will give you a 6x multiplier for your winnings.

Both of the above slots can be played with ease, with no download needed since they’re completely mobile-friendly. You will be sure to find other dragon-themed slots too, but these two are certainly a couple of our best recommendations.

This Slot Is on Fire

Eye of the Dragon by Novomatic definitely deserves a spin or two, and while it might not be as appealing as many other free play casino games out there right now, it really does offer an enjoyable online gambling experience. From the base game payouts of up to 5,000x available, to the red-hot free spins round with locked expanding symbols, this slot game promises to be a sure-fire hit with most players.
