However, don’t be fooled by the simplistic look of this retro themed slot. Peel back the skin and you’ll find those creative geniuses at Novomatic have incorporated some additional symbols which make this slot transcend both the nostalgia of yesteryear slots and the fun features of today’s slots. Those symbols include stars, stopwatches, and dice, and they can trigger a Hold Feature and a Dice Feature in which you can enjoy between 1 and 12 Win Spins.

A Reely Good Reputation

You have to admire Novomatic for its many innovations – not least having the foresight to employ former Formula 1 superstar Nikki Lauda to help steer the company towards even more success in his role as brand ambassador. However, whilst Lauda was a star on four wheels – Novomatic continues to star in the making of three reel, five reel, and even six reel slots.

There’s a simple ethos to the type of slots that Novomatic produce, and it’s one that has helped them become one of the online slots industry’s top software providers in 45 of the biggest gambling countries in the world. Their slots are quite simplistic to look at, whilst base game symbols are designed to fit the variety of themed slots their creative department continue to produce. However, behind the simplistic façade, there is always something hidden such as an exciting feature or two just as in the Double Dice video slot.

Apart from their playability and the chance to win some decent prizes, what we really like about Novomatic slots is they feature in the slot sections of many of the world’s best online casinos. Most of these casinos also kindly offer bonuses to new players. Some will even offer you a free bonus just for signing up, whilst most will offer a welcome bonus when you make your first deposit. Meanwhile, some continue to offer bonuses to loyal players via VIP perks, or just to attract you to keep playing on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. Most Novomatic slots can also be played as real money online slots or free online slots. Meanwhile, just like many slots from this software provider, there is no download required. It can also be enjoyed on desktop and is mobile-optimised for iPhone and Android smartphone.

Nothing Dicey About It

Playing this slot couldn’t be easier. Simply choose your bet using the plus or minus buttons and spin the three reels into action by pressing the spin button. You’ll win prizes for lining up three matching cherries, lemons, oranges, bells, melons, plums, grapes, stars, stopwatches or dice. You can even these prizes on the gamble feature. However, hit two stars, stopwatches or dice on any of the five paylines and you’ll trigger the Hold Feature. This will hold these high-paying symbols in place as it awards a reel re-spin for free to give you a second chance of completing a win line.

Meanwhile, the Dice Feature can be triggered by hitting either three or four dice symbols on any spin. Hit three dice symbols and you will get to roll the dice to the right of the reels to see how many win spins you will be awarded – which can be one to six. Each win spin then guarantees a winning spin of the reels. However, if you hit four dice symbols, you get to play this feature twice in succession – hence why this slot is called Double Dice.

More Three Reel Slots and More

You can play loads of three reel slots or classic slots as they are also known. They are made by many of the world’s best slots makers – and here a few to whet your appetite. You can have some devilishly good fun when you play the horror themed Pentagram slot by Realistic Games. This classic slot also features five paylines, but the main feature is a free spins feature with 10 free games and 2x multiplier. Realistic Games also offer some Ancient Egyptian themed slots action in the shape of The Great Pyramid. Base game symbols include retro-styled bars and sevens, whilst there is also a Great Pyramid bonus round, nudge feature, Super Spins Feature, and Hold After Win Feature.

Meanwhile, you could also play Double Diamond by IGT, Triple Crown by Betsoft, Wheel Of Wealth by Microgaming, Lucky Diamonds by Play’n Go, Funky Monkey by Playtech, Jackpot Jester Win by Nextgen, and Firestorm 7 by Rival Gaming. There are also several more classic slots by Novomatic such as Multi Dice, Bullion Bar, and Always Hot.

However, if three reels aren’t enough for you, it could soon be time to broaden your horizons to five reels with some of the slots that are on Novomatic’s latest releases hit-list. These include the 50 paylines From Dusk Till Dawn, a slot based on Quentin Tarantino’s cult vampire film starring George Clooney. There’s even bonus rounds called On The Run and Everybody Be Cool, as well as a Dancing Bonus Round and a Mugshot Bonus Round. However, you can also enjoy other retro themed slots such as Plenty Of Fruit 40, Fresh Splash, Fruit Parade, Ice Paradise, and Roaring Wilds.

Roll the Dice

If you’re going to roll your dice at the world of classic slots – then Double Dice by Novomatic is certainly a slot worth considering. Its appearance, sounds effects, and fruit symbols should certainly satisfy even the sternest fruit machine fan. Meanwhile, if you like added features too, all players should adore the Hold Feature which offers a second chance to hit high-paying prize lines. However, it’s the Double Dice Feature that really thrills with guaranteed wins spins and a chance to trigger a double feature with four or more dice symbols. Don’t forget, if you’re not ready to play it for real money yet – you can try the free Double Dice slot first.
