Changing Fate 40 Slot Review

Software by Novomatic is known to be old school, with the graphics and features tending to be flat, but we still love the vibe of this online slot.

When you load the game up, you’ll note that this nostalgic slot has the traditional 5-reels, alongside up to 40 win lines, allowing you to customise if you so wish. In addition to this you also have a set of limited but decent game features; you won’t be blown away by the choice, but at least the variance is medium enough for most players.

Magical Crystal Ball

We’re going to dive right into the action with the special crystal ball symbol, which acts like a scatter symbol and provides a range of free spins. As most play for real money gamblers will know, free games are a sample part of the one armed bandit experience, so it’s good to see them offered here. This particular amusement with prizes delivers a high-paying amount of spins, but it comes with a higher volatility due to the mechanics of the feature; gamers need to get five or more on the grid.

Even though this unique system sounds impossible to crack, once you’ve done this you could be on your way to becoming a high roller, as 80 games will land in your lap. What is more, they have an additional bonus added to them, which helps make the mini game of this pokie feel all the more exciting. This online casino title also gifts us the Changing Fate Bonus.

The Ribbons of Fate

Seeing as we just teased all you play for free punters about another side game, it seems only fair to get into more detail about the full ins and out. When you access the bonus spins inside the Changing Fate 40 video slot, you’ll be given the Changing Fate Bonus, a feature which has a greyed out icon hide some the symbols from view. They don’t just hide anything though, but stacked symbols, which means you could be in for some big coin payouts.

We grant you that this isn’t a high standard gold star of features, but considering this is a no download needed title from Novomatic, we think the brand has managed to create a sense of wonder. They can sometimes be very mute in depth, being reliable above all else, but here there’s a feeling of excitement, be that only in short bursts.

Care for a Game?

The free Changing Fate 40 slot has a gamble option that appears after every win, and will allow users to play a quick round of cards. The rules of the game are simple: pick the right colour and keep doubling your funds, select wrong and you walk away with nothing. It’s the age old story of online gambling risk, but we can’t get enough of it. If it isn’t for you, all players, real cash or otherwise, can opt out of the option whenever they form a winning pay line.

Hear That Thunder

We now move onto the 5-reels and 50 win lines of the Quickspin game, Titan Thunder, a modern looking game, filled with 3D graphics. This mobile-optimised title is in stark contrast to the imagery seen inside Changing Fate 40, but we think that simply demonstrates the full range of novelty slots out there.

For a punt of 0.50 credits, you can spin your way to some considerable wins, though sadly there doesn’t seem to be much variance here, with only free spins up for grabs. We’ll admit that you’ll probably miss out on the double or nothing, but other than that you shouldn’t feel too out of place when playing. At the end of the day, this is just another secure game, just a bit more new onto the market.

The Whims of Fate

We’ve come to the end of our time with the Changing Fate 40 slot machine, and overall we’d say that it’s a solid gaming experience, though not a flashy one. It does the job of providing you a means of making money, but otherwise it keeps it simple and enjoyable. There’s a purity about it that’ll probably resonate with classic slots gamers, but we reckon even the most modern player could find something exciting about this pokie game, if they look deep enough.

All in all, we’d rate this a three out of five star game, simply because the graphics are a little rusty now, and the gameplay isn’t as smooth as it could be. Still, for a wager of just 40 coins, we can’t complain at the lack of depth found here – you get what you pay for.
