Stunning graphics are the first thing you’ll notice about this game with the magical Merlin theme mashing up with a Christmas vibe. There’s wrapped presents, baubles and holly juxtaposed with the famous Excalibur, goblets and crystal balls. But there’s lots more here than just fun images – as there’s not just bonus rounds, but a supercharged turbo mode, too. But will you be feeling the magic? Here’s a review of Merlin’s Magic Respins Christmas by NextGen with all the info you need.

Wizarding Christmas

Having a wizard around for Christmas guarantees a really special time but before you start to sidle over to the mistletoe you’ll need to set up your own betting preferences. There are 5 reels and these include a whopping 50 paylines, where you can bet a maximum of 5.00 per payline. This provides a total max bet of 250.00. At the opposite end of the spectrum the entry point is just 0.01 which gives a total min bet of 0.25. If you want to find out what gifts Merlin might be giving you, check out the paytable by clicking on the potion bottle bearing the letter “i”. You’ll need three in a row along an active payline moving from left to right in order to win a prize.

Merlin Offers More!

King Arthur’s famous magician was one of the most talented wizards in mythical history so it’s hardly surprising that he’s chosen to pack out the reels with a long list of extras. The man himself appears as the wild in stacked form, providing lots of chances to win. If he appears as a full stack on a reel you’ll open the Wild Respins feature where you’ll respin the other reels. You can win more than one of these Wild Respins depending on the bet. Three scatters leads to the Free Games Feature where you’ll be handed 7 free spins. As an extra benefit the wizard may appear and transform some of the symbols into wilds.

As well as playing in the standard mode you can opt for a Superbet. This is a way to enhance the regular play and you can switch the mode on or off using the button next to the reels. Decide how many coins you want to add to the Superbet mode and you’ll receive an ascending scale of prizes depending on what you’ve chosen.

Yuletide Play

If you’re permanently in the festive frame of mind there’s plenty of slots which can help you do just that. Merlin’s Magic Respins Christmas is a mashup of a previous title and Taco Brothers Saving Christmas is exactly the same. With falling snow and Christmas celebrated south American style, this is a twist on both themes. There are 5 reels which feature the contemporary 243 ways to win plus respins and a bonus feature too. There’s a low to medium variance and an RTP of 96.40%. If you prefer something more traditional, Playtech has created Ghosts of Christmas, a slot based on the famous Dickens novel. 3D graphics mean the Ghost of Christmas Future is genuinely quite spooky, There’s 5 reels and 20 paylines and there’s a bonus round included, too.

Festive Fun

Merlin’s Magic Respins Christmas is an online video slot which features one of the most lived characters from Arthurian times. The presence of the famous enchanter guarantees that this game will give you a truly magical experience. There’s lots of gameplay options, including the turbocharged Superbet mode, but unfortunately no real bonus round. The complexity of the play means that this game is best suited to those who have some experience of playing the slots before.
