Isis Slot Review

No not that Isis. Instead here we have yet another trip to Egypt for a slot game as Isis was a female Egyptian God. There are so many out there so it’s always a bit of a job to try and produce something that’s just not the same as all the others. Why is Egypt so popular? Are there hotels out there offering cheap package holidays to slot designers I wonder to myself. This is one of the earlier slot releases from Microgaming but it still has more than its fair share of moments.

There’s no backdrop to the game but the game has a bright and cheerful look to it so not hardship on the eyes here. The game has three rows of attractive looking symbols that all have a rather golden look to them. There’s five reels and a total of 25 pay-lines that will hopefully provide you with lots of good wins.

Before you spin the reels, there are some important decisions to be made. You need to work out just how many of the pay-lines you are going to be activating.  The minimum cost of activating every one of the 25 pay-lines is €0.25 and the maximum cost is €250.

Egyptian Elegance

The symbols in the game include the usual suspects as far as Egyptian-themed games go. There’s a sarcophagus, Isis’ staff, the royal seal, an amulet, sacred eye symbol, vase and a palm tree. Five of the eye symbols on an activated pay-line will win you 3,000x your line bet for that spin of the reels. There’s also the playing card symbols that pay out the smallest wins in this game.

Wild Isis

It’s Isis who is the wild symbol in this game, well it is named after her. This is going to be a symbol you want to see as much as possible. It can sub for other symbols to get you winning combinations. Even better news is that any win the wild creates is doubled so good luck with that one. It can’t substitute for the hawk which is the scatter symbol and helps get you into the bonus game.

Massive Multiplier

Keep an eye out for the hawk symbol as that can really help you win some money. It’s the scatter symbol here and they can activate the bonus game for you. They count if landing anywhere on the reels so you don’t have to be activating loads of pay-lines all the time. This feature doesn’t come up too often though and as you discover more about it in the next paragraph you won’t be surprised.

Three of the pay-lines will earn you 20 free spins. If a fourth one pops along then that figure goes up to 25 and five see you playing with a grand total of 30 free spins. If they appear again in the required numbers during the free spins then they’re re-triggered and more wins can come your way. You’ll be keen for that to happen as the sensational news is that every win you get during the free spins are subject to a 6x multiplier.

Gamble Time

The game also has a gamble feature where you can increase the size of your base game wins. Once you get a win you can keep it if you wish and go onto the next spin or just stop playing altogether.  If you do go for the gamble it’s the usual playing card game. Guess the colour of the next card to double your win. Be really brave and try to guess the suit of the next card in order to quadruple your win. In Conclusion

Another great slot game from Microgaming. It has a good look to it, not the most recent of releases so perhaps looking a bit dated but still attractive. Is it any different from other Eygyptian themed games? Well no, not really but that 6x multiplier in the bonus game really makes this worth playing once you manage to get it activated. Please be careful with the bonus feature though.
