Being introduced to a game with a piece of music which resembles something constructed haphazardly in the mid 90s can never be considered a good thing in all honesty, but that’s exactly what Merkur Gaming decided to do with this product. It does manage to bring a little bit of the traditional slot machine into the modern day, by merging such icons with online game play, but when you compare it with the vast sea of others in this genre out there, it unfortunately falls a little short. Merkur also have the problem of finding decent enough tunes to play while the reels are spinning as well, instead opting to insert the same arcade theme into just about all of their offerings, which makes for a fairly dull addition most of the time. Granted, this product of theirs doesn’t particularly have a specific theme to work with, so it’s not as out of place here as it could be considered elsewhere.
What’s Included in a Super 7 Reels Slot?
Players accessing this game will find five reels and three rows worth of a layout to game on. These are filled with icons that harken back to the days of those classic slot machines that were usually found in pubs or cafés. So, you’ll be spinning your way through various different pieces of fruit, such as cherries, plums, halved watermelons, oranges, grapes and lemons. What’s more, there’s also the bright yellow stars and of course, the 7s, which is where this game takes its name from.
Alongside its general layout, Merkur have also added five different pay lines, which are not able to be customised. Players are instead able to choose how much they bet per spin by switching the value around in the bottom right hand corner of the screen. There’s a plus and minus button at either side of this, which will allow you to change the value from its minimum of $0.05 up to its maximum of $10 per spin. ‘Max Bet’ and ‘Auto Start’ buttons have also been added to make the product more comfortable to play, if you’re the sort of person who enjoys utilising these.
Any Specialities Available?
A game that is based on such a substandard type of ‘theme’, should surely have some kind of additional extras incorporated into game play to boost up its standing in the video slot world, right? Well, Merkur don’t really appear to believe so, considering this game barely has anything added to it to make it appealing. The previously mentioned yellow star does act as the scatter icon, so they’ll pay out in any position on the reels provided there’s three or more. If you’re betting the maximum amount and manage to spin five of these across the interface, you’ll be rewarded with $500.
One of the main good things about Super 7 Reels is the fact that winning combinations can be formed when symbols appear in any location. You still need to match three of them up to form a win, but they don’t have to start from the very leftmost reel. Instead, you can match three up in the centre, four up starting from the second reel, or even secure a combination from the middle reel onwards. This does provide a little bit more of an advantage to players in such a lack lustre offering.
Finally, players will be happy to know that the developer’s ever-present gamble option is also incorporated into this product as well. Therefore, whenever you secure a win which is below $140, you’ll be offered the chance to gamble it in one of two games. These exist as the ‘Ladder Gamble’ game, and the ‘Card Gamble’ game.
Choosing to go for the ladder option, you’ll be presented with a ladder of various different values, with a flashing light alternating between two of them. One is higher than your current winnings and the other is lower. It’s up to you to try and stop the flashing light on the higher value to increase your balance. If you play the card game instead, you are presented with a deck of cards. Here, you need to guess whether or not the next card that is turned over will be red or black in colour.
