Beach Life is a high-energy, colourful slot game set on a tropical beach. The reels actually take up most of the space on the screen, with a small area at the bottom to accommodate the command bar and its pebble-shaped buttons. On top of the reels, you can catch a view of the beach itself, almost deserted. The colour scheme used in Beach Life is actually quite aggressive, with splashes of yellow, pink, blue and green all over the screen.

As a result, we did not find Beach Life particularly attractive in spite of its idyllic location. Sometimes less is more, and the Playtech developers were really heavy-handed with their colour palette this time around.

The Art of Doing Nothing

Let’s get back to the more practical aspects of Beach Life for now. The game is based on a classic set of 5 reels with 20 paylines, featuring a betting range going from 0.50 to 10 credits per spin. Click on the pebbles under the reels to pick your wager and adjust your settings until you are ready to place your first bet. The bet max button can let you play all-in at once, and you can always stick to the autoplay mode to enjoy Beach Life at a faster pace.

The low RTP mentioned earlier can be felt in the long term, and we have had to go through some periods of “drought” while testing Beach Life, where nothing would happen on the reels at all. If you persevere a little, try to line up the different ice cream symbols, or the surfers, beach goers or divers to win up to 500 times your current wager instantly. The medium variance of Beach Life is technically giving you equal chances to win big and small cash prizes during the game.

Pure Relaxation

Let’s start with the most interesting bonuses of Beach Life. The sun symbol will serve both as a wild and as a jackpot symbol. You can use it to score extra combinations on the reels, or try to line up several of them to win up to 2000 times your line bet. Five suns in a row will also unlock the Beach Life progressive jackpot, as displayed on the main screen.

Note than the sandcastle symbols cannot be replaced but work as scatters and can award up to 500 times your total bet wherever they show up during the game.
