Time for an underwater adventure with a Microgaming slot that gives players an incredible 1024 different ways to get a win. Surely one of them will produce a win for you.
Underwater Adventure
This is of course based on the adventures of Captain Nemo who was featured in ‘Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea’ written by Jules Verne. That guarantees us a theme that’s going to be full of aquatic adventures and hopefully something to really celebrate when the reels go in your favour.
1024 different ways to win, how does that work out? Well what happens is that even though there are five reels in this game there aren’t any pay-lines as you’ll be used to in most the slot games you play. What happens is that in ‘Leagues of Fortune’ wins are paid out on adjacent matching symbols, and both left to right and right to left. Take a glance at the all-informative pay-table for more information about this.
Won’t Cost You A Fortune
Playing the game costs, you between €5 if playing at the minimum coin stake but putting 10 coins on each spin of the reels. The maximum cost per spin is €50 so there should be little difficulty finding a level you can play at without causing yourself any financial problems.
The look of this game really will impress you. It’s a bit like staring at an aquarium as the reels are transparent. That means you can see everything that’s going on underneath the sea in the background. The symbols in this game include one of those old-fashioned diving suits that must have weighed an absolute ton. There’s also the captain of the submarine and some mapping instruments. Filling out the reels are the Ten to Ace playing card symbols.
The Leagues of Fortunes logo might just live up to its name here. That’s because the logo is the wild symbol in this game. It can cause a big splash when arriving on the reels at the end of a spin and substituting for other symbols to get you some winning combinations. It can’t substitute for the chest (every water/pirate themed game has to have a chest you know), as that helps trigger the bonus game.
Tentacles Terror
You need at least three of the chest scatter symbols in order to trigger the free spins bonus round. What happens next really is a little bit different. We get to see the submarine in a battle with a giant squid and there are some good wins to be had here, in fact you could be squids in (it just had to be said). That’s because this squid just happens to be the giant Squid of Fortune. When this dreaded creature lunges a tentacle it hits a symbol and changes it into a number of free spins. The more that happens, the more free spins will come your way. You’ll be really keen to get some of those spins because each win you get has a 5x multiplier attached to it so the wins really can mount up.
Do you Go for the Gamble?
The game also has a gamble feature which is a little bit different from the ones you’re used to Usually it’s the playing cards challenge with the task of correctly guessing the colour or suit of the next card. That’s more often than not a case of losing everything if you make the wrong choice. No cards here though. Again after you get a win in the base game, the option comes up to either gamble or collect your winnings. If you take the gamble, there’s a chance to win up to 20x your win and you don’t have to gamble all of your win.
Instead there’s a wheel which is either red or blue. The more money you try to win in the gamble the smaller the blue win section becomes. Then you spin the wheel and if it lands in the blue area you’re a winner, if not then it’s back to the game but you’ll hopefully have retained some of your original win.
In Conclusion
I really like this game. It has a good look to it and the bonus game can be really exciting. The Gamble feature is a fresh idea but just be careful not to gamble away too much of your winnings on it. Definitely recommended.
