There’s a total of five reels in this game and nine pay lines on three rows of symbols. That figure may be small compared to some games but it’s not a fixed amount so you can just play the one pay line if you want to. The symbols for this game are fairly basic but they do the job so can’t really be criticized. They include a map of Nepal, a local leading an elephant along, the gorgeous sight of the sun rising above the mountains to begin another day and some of the goods you’ll find on the local market. There’s also the ten to Ace playing card symbols which pad out the reels and are the lesser paying symbols in ‘Kathmandu.’

Double the Wilds

Who wants one wild when you can have two? That’s the case in this game with both the spinning wheel and the temple on wild duty. Two of them means even more chances of them ending up on the reels at the end of a spin and helping to create some winning combinations for you. They do that by being able to substitute for the other symbols but not the bonus symbol. If you can get five of the spinning wheel wild symbols on an active payline that wins you a whopping 6000x your line bet so you’ll definitely be celebrating if that comes along.

I’m never quite sure about why these games have a regular and an expert mode. The only difference is that in expert mode you can use the autoplay feature. Are regular players extremely patient and don’t care at all about having to continually press the spin button. You can either set five or ten automated spins of the reels or go for a more precise selection. That means you can set as many as 500 if you want to. Not that you have to go through all of them. It’s possible to set the autoplay so it stops when your account balance reaches a certain level or you get a big win you’d hate losing.

This isn’t the most complex of games at all, far from it. Even so a bit of research won’t hurt you one little bit. Take a look through the paytable, have some free games and you’ll be ready to play for real.

Free Spins On the Agenda

Look out for the scatter symbol which is the bell. Get at least three of these anywhere on the reels and that triggers the bonus game. You receive 15 free spins and that’s not all. The big news is that there’s a random multiplier here and this can be up to 5x. The multiplier is applied to any winning combination you get during your free spins and it’s possible to re-trigger the free spins if that scatter turns up in at least triplicate again.

There’s also a gamble feature in this game which may or may ot be good news for you. If your luck is in then it’s great news as this can double or quadruple your wins. All you have to do is correctly guess the colour of the next card to double a win. Be a bit more adventurous and you can quadruple your win by correctly guessing the suit of the next card. It’s a lot harder than you think and any mistake means you lose all your win.

Final View

The theme is an interesting one if not that thrilling. There are some good wins to be had in this game and despite its basic look it’s still worth a play. Just be careful with that gamble feature, the idea is to get and keep wins not acquire them and immediately give them back.
