Halloween
Trick or treat? We can file Halloween, the rewarding slot game from EGT, very firmly in the latter category. And thatu2019s because there is not one but two wild symbols (as you might expect from a game set at such a spooky time of year), plus all the usual goodies on offer.

Trick or treat? We can file Halloween, the rewarding slot game from EGT, very firmly in the latter category. And that’s because there is not one but two wild symbols (as you might expect from a game set at such a spooky time of year), plus all the usual goodies on offer. You have nothing to fear from spinning the reels here!
Halloween can be enjoyed all year round when you load up this seasonal staple from EGT, and as we’ve come to expect from this software team there are no skeletons in the closet and no bogeymen under the bed? This game follows their usual template of five reels, three rows and in this case 20 paylines to work with, and as ever you are looking to match three or more of a symbol to enjoy a payout.
So let’s take a deep breath and peer through our fingers at the prizes on offer in this ghoulish game.
Trick and Treat
There’s no trick to winning in Halloween – just spin three of a symbol on a payline to win, but there are plenty of treats to be enjoyed.
It’s the playing card symbols that set the ball rolling here (Ace, King, Queen and Jack), and these all pay out in the same denomination: 5 coins for matching three, 20 coins for four and 100 coins for the full five.
The next pair of symbols on the board are the epitome of a trick and a treat. The seriously creepy Spider pays at the same rate as the basket of Candy, so it’s not all doom and gloom, and players will earn 15 coins, 35 coins and 150 coins for three, four or five.
A Full Moon can be a pretty spooky sight to behold but not in this Halloween themed slot game, and this is one occasion where you will be happy for a Black Cat to cross your path – in fact, three, four or five would be even better! These symbols earn 20 coins for a three-way match, 50 coins for four and 200 coins for five.
The top tier symbols in the main game are the two human icons. The female character seems too innocent looking to be a Witch, but given the sinister them of the game that’s what she must be. And her male counterpart is the Vampire, and both of these pay 25 coins, 50 coins and 200 coins respectively.
Spooky Specials
As mentioned, there are two wilds in Halloween to get excited about. The first is the Witch’s Hat, and this earns some cracking prizes: 50 coins for three, 200 coins for four and 1,000 coins for five. It will also substitute for all symbols (apart from the other wild and the scatter) to help players create some fantastic wins.
The extra wild, which is the Pumpkin, appears on the fifth reel only, and this will substitute for all other symbols bar the scatter. Its key role is in transforming the playing card symbols into wild, and these will then substitute for all other symbols apart from the scatter too.
And then there’s the scatter, the Witch’s Book of Spells, and this will appear on the middle three reels. It pays 40 coins for spinning three or more, but even better than that is the free spin round triggering madness that will ensue. This delivers ten free spins, each of which is subject to a 2x multiplier, and additional freebies can be added to your allotment, too. This is the equivalent of trick or treating at the rich peoples’ house!
Sinister Slots
There are two more things to consider when discussing this Halloween slot. Firstly, the gamble feature, which enables players to double any winnings of less than 700 coins just for guessing the correct colour of a playing card.
And then there’s the Jackpot Cards feature, which pays players some rather fantastic prizes just for matching three suits from a possible 12 cards. This is a randomly triggered bonus too, so you won’t need to worry about how much you are staking. You will earn one of the four jackpots that are currently whizzing by at the top of your screen.
So if there’s something strange in the neighbourhood, don’t call the Ghostbusters. Just close the curtains, fire up your computer or mobile device and play a game of Halloween slots instead.
