If you’re looking for a slot game that can show you the magic of Middle Eastern culture and scenery, we have a treat for you. Magic Book – a brand new release from up and coming casino software developer Bally Wulff – is bringing players real money slots action with an unforgettable exotic flavour.
As mentioned above, Magic Book was made by Bally Wulff, who with this game are looking to prove that they have the power to deliver 5-reel focused entertainment that lives long in the memory. The magic in this game is coupled with the possibility for some pretty impressive wins too, with the following explains just why this game could easily cast a spell on you.
Positioned Under the Blazing Sun
The game is set in the middle of the bright, blazing, sun-drenched scene of the Middle East. Through this, you’ll be dropped right into a busy and ancient metropolis. You’ll notice that the reels are flowing up above the roofs of the city buildings and sitting comfortably under the sun. All throughout the game there is an orange-ish glow that gives you a mysterious aura to enjoy.
While the reels are surrounded by the usual Bally Wulff silver “casing”, something which we are by no means fans of, it doesn’t hurt the overall image of the game too much.
Throwing Open the Book
The command bar is, as per usual, found right under the reel along with all the buttons you’re going to need to play the game. Magic Book is set up with a 5-reel, 5-payline system, which allows up to three positions for the symbols per reel. The gameplay here as basic as you would expect, with the game’s controls following suit. You can use the “+” and “-“ symbols to change your bet, you have to score winning combinations in order to win prizes, and your prizes are based upon how much you bet.
Betting wise, this game is incredibly easy to understand, as the lowest wager starts at just 0.10, with Magic Book topping out at 10.00.
The Magic Journey to Wealth
There are nine different symbols in Magic Book that can lead you to the wealth that you seek. The first few are fairly standard, as they are the Jack, King, King, Ace. and 10, which are the lower ranking symbols.
The symbols that you really want to focus on are the flying carpet, the dagger, the belly dancer and the sultan. These are rare, but if you keep playing, your patience will reward you. To see just how much that reward can be, consider that five sultans on a payline will trigger a 1000x your base bet cash prize.
One and Only
The symbol that is really the central gameplay feature of Magic Book is, in fact, the magic book itself. It’s the only special symbol in the game, and it acts as both a scatter and a wild.
The scatter will award cash no matter where it is on the reels, as long as you get at least three at the same time. It can also replace other symbols on the reels and trigger 10 additional free spins.
Casting Quite the Spell
Another exciting element of this game is that every time you score a win, you get the opportunity to play a mini game if you want. The first game is a double-or-nothing “Gamble” option, in which you have to choose what you think the next card revealed will will be. For the second mini-game, you have to have good reflexes, because you have to click a button at exactly the right moment to make your way up the ladder towards the game’s top prizes.
Same Game, Different Name
Considering the medium to high variance nature of this game, there are plenty of similar games out there that have the ability to match it on both the difficulty and gameplay front. Two games that jump out as practically element for element clones of Magic Book are Persian Dreams and Crystal Ball, two titles from Merkur.
Magic Book Is Magnificently Basic!
Magic Book is a fairly standard slot game that offers the kind of gameplay that you would expect from a Bally Wulff release. It’s nice to have the all-in-one bonus symbol, but it’s a little hard to win with this game compared to come others, as the gap between high and low paying symbols is pretty wide.
