It’s recommended that you have five portions of fruit every day to keep you healthy. Well, just one spin of the reels in the ‘Fruit Loot’ slot from Microgaming might just do you a great deal of good if you can land the top prize.

This is another of the Microgaming slot that pays tribute to the three-reel games that used to dominate the fruit machine market.  Those games used fruit as the main symbols (it’s to do with fruit-flavoured chewing gum apparently) and those symbols make a welcome return in this ‘Fruit Loot’ slot.

The game has just the three-reels and there is just the one pay-line that will hopefully provide you with a number of great wins to boost your account balance. With it being just a three-reel game that means the reels don’t dominate the screen. Instead they are tucked away in the top left-hand corner of the screen.

The symbols used in this game are so fruity it’s amazing this isn’t sponsored by a greengrocer’s. There’s cherries, oranges, lemons, watermelons and plums just like in all those classic games. To keep the retro feel going we also get the single, double and triple bars.

How much does this cost to play? Well as with other games of this type, it’s just a case of deciding your coin stake and then how many you are going to play on each spin of the reels. The coin range in this game goes from €0.25 up to €5.

You can play between one and three coins but if you wish to be able to win the top prize available in this game, then you have to be playing at all three. For all the other winning combinations (full details of which are in the paytable on the right-hand side of the screen). It’s a case of the wins available by staking one coin being doubled or tripled if using two or three coins. For example, if you can get three single bars on the pay-line that awards you either 40x, 80x or 120x your coin stake With the top prize though that’s not the case.

Basket Bonanza

The top prize comes along when you can get three of the Fruit Basket logos. If you’re gambling one coin then the win is 1000x your coin stake, for two coins it’s 2000x but with three it’s a tasty 5000x. Now that’s a clever way to tempt you to be betting at the maximum level all the time. Only do that if you can afford it. The minimum cost of playing three coins is €0.75 and the maximum $15 so this isn’t a game that’s going to get all the high-rollers of you out there jumping with joy. Give it a go anyway, you can still win lots of cash.

Operating this game isn’t at all difficult. It’s just a question of setting your coin stake and then deciding how many coins to play. To do this use the ‘Bet One’ button or if you’re putting all your fruit in one basket, go for the ‘Bet Max’ button to bet all three coins.

There’s no wild symbol in this game and no sign of a scatter or bonus symbol either. Nor are there any free spins or any other form of bonus games. That’s simply what you get with this type of slot. Don’t let that put you off playing this though. The top prize is still well worth winning and it’ll make a change from all those complicated five-reel slot games that you play most of the time.
