Silent Movie Slot Review

The golden age of cinema was a time when the movies were silent and the audience were anything but. Before full colour, when “talkies” became the norm, moviegoers were treated to silent cinema with a thumping soundtrack in place of dialogue.

The Theme

The first two decades of 20th century moviemaking are revisited in IGT’s atmospheric 5-reel slot. Silent Movie faithfully captures the eccentricity and character of the films that defined the silent cinema era. Directors had to be more creative back then, finding innovative ways of advancing the story and introducing key plot elements. Hosted in an old theatre, Silent Movie is the perfect setting for the perfect slot celebrating this bygone era.

Cinematic fonts that were used at the time have been dug out, while curtains part to reveal the reels where the action unfolds. Silent Movie is grainy, lo-fi and everything that a movie of this time should be. The Controls

Silent Movie features 30 lines which are always active and a bet level that ranges from 1 to 30. As a result, the most you can bet on any one spin is 900. Click on the ‘i’ icon on the bottom right of the screen to adjust the graphics quality, with 4 levels to choose from. There’s no autoplay button to be found here: just a black and white spin button which occupies centre stage.

The Silent Movie logo serves as the game’s wild symbol and can appear anywhere except for reel 1. It will substitute for any of the regular playing symbols.

While there’s certainly money to be made in the base game from a combination of wilds and regular playing symbols alone, Silent Movie’s 4 bonus games are where the serious cash lies.

To trigger any of the bonus games, you’ll need to land 2 regular bonus symbols and 1 special bonus symbol anywhere in view.
