Play for freeWild Fruits Slot Review
Line up the symbols and shoot from the hip in Wild Fruits, the online video slot from developer Endorphina. Although the symbols may be fruits, that’s where the resemblance with a traditional game ends because this slot is more reminiscent of the Wild West than anything else! Set in the middle of a gunslinging town, the sheriff’s badge adorns the wooden reels so you’ll have to be on your best behaviour if you want to avoid being locked up…
Faded fruit symbols give this game an instant retro feel, as if you’ve ridden into a long forgotten town buried in the deep south, with bar saloon doors that are dusty and old. But will you prove to have the fastest finger or will you end up staring into the bottom of an empty whisky glass? Here’s a review of Wild Fruits from Endorphina with everything you need for play.
Jaded but Full of Life
The main symbols on the tiles are jaded, with all of the colour having leached out of them in the long and distant past. However the play is just as fresh as ever with five reels and a whopping 50 paylines, making this one of the biggest games from this developer. You can adjust the paylines if your budget won’t stretch to playing on the full set. Just click on the number on the right hand side of the control panel.
As an alternative to restricting the number of paylines in play, you could opt to adjust the value per spin. You can play with between one and and ten coins per line giving a total min bet of 50 and a total max bet of 500. The RTP isn’t published for this slot, but it has medium degree of variance.
Fruity Mash-up
As well as lining up symbols on the main reels, you’ll find there are some extras on the board which could just prove to be a helping hand. Wilds are fairly commonplace in slots and Endorphina have chosen to include them here. Represented by the word “Wild” stamped starkly on a plaque, these symbols can step in for others on the reels and make a win much easier to land. You won’t find wilds on reel 1, only on reels 2, 3, 4 and 5.
There’s also a scatter included in this game: look out for the star shaped sheriff’s badge emblazoned with the word “scatter”. If you land three scatters you’ll not only get a cash win but you’ll also unlock the free spins phase. You’ll instantly be handed 10 free spins which include the chance to play with stacked wilds on reels 2-5. The feature can be retriggered if you land three scatters again during free spins, giving you an additional 5 free turns.
Going for Gunslingers
The Wild West is a pretty dangerous place full of outlaws but if you’re handy with a gun and can saddle up like a pro, you might just make it out alive. There are lots of other slots with a similar theme which promise to offer the same kind of playing experience if you feel like lingering a little longer. John Wayne was undoubtedly the greatest cowboy of all time and Playtech have created a game which pays tribute to him. The self-titled John Wayne has 25 paylines, free spins and a bonus round, too, which combine with images of the great man himself on sepia-tinged reels.
Gunslinger from Play’n Go is another Wild West game and although it doesn’t contain fruit symbols, the faded design to the tiles is very similar to Wild Fruits. Playing cards, gold nuggets plus southern beauties all appear on the reels while there’s 25 paylines, a bonus feature and free spins to add extra interest too.
Line ‘Em up Cowboy
The name of this slot might bring to mind a traditional fruit machine but Wild Fruits from Endorphina is far more similar to a wild west slot. With a wooden gameboard, and sepia tones to the tiles you’ll be playing to win prizes in a deep south setting. There are not many extras on the reels other than free spins so those looking for games which are jampacked with features may be disappointed. However if you’re looking for a simple play or a game suitable for newbies, this is a great choice.
