      Treasure Voyage Slot Review

Early 2015 marked a double release from Konami, as both Treasure Voyage and Ancient Dragon hit screens at some of our favourite online casinos. The two games weren’t paired together by chance either and if you like one, you’re sure to enjoy the other as they have a few things in common. Perhaps the most striking similarity is the board layout, which entails four rows on reels one and five and five rows on the three in between. That is far more common among land based games, which is no surprise given Konami’s development history, but it also opens up the possibility of a hundred win lines, which is certainly something not to be missed.

At first glance, the theme on the game looks like it has something to do with pirates. However, the closest you’ll get to seeing one is the ship’s parrot, as the only human on the board is the ship’s captain who looks a little more refined than Bluebeard. They are joined by whales, fish and playing card symbols and the captain lives up to his role by filling in as a wild card, subbing in for anything other than the scatter.

      Action Stacked Symbols Galore

Like Ancient Dragon and China Shores before it, Treasure Voyage incorporates Konami’s own Action Stacked Symbols feature during the base game, where adjacent positions on the reels can be replaced by any other standard symbol. It’s one of those features that won’t make you rich, but definitely cranks up the excitement.

Indeed, the part of this game that could make you rich is the feature round, where three or more compasses in view will trigger twelve free spins. A minor addition compared to the base game is that the captain may nudge additional symbols into view, including more wilds, which have the obvious effect of boosting the value of the spin that it lands on.

Both Treasure Voyage and Ancient Dragon are undoubtedly similar games, but they’re also different enough to warrant a few spins on both, while also reinforcing a certain style that Konami wants to be associated with. It’s well worth checking out and you’ll find it in the slots section at the leading only casinos featured in the sidebar.
