Deal or No Deal: What's In Your Box Slot Review

After years of loyal service to the game show community, fans of Deal or No Deal had to say goodbye to their beloved series and host; a sad day to be sure. But the fun of the programme can live on in real cash slots like Deal or No Deal: What’s In Your Box? Blueprint Gaming have created this 5-reel matrix for users familiar and new to the concept of the gam.

Just like the show itself, there’s a lot of ways to make it to the jackpot, only this time round there’s three progressive jackpots rather than just one. Not to mention that The Banker seems to be much more reasonable than we’ve come to know (and loathe).

The pay-in is cheap and the spin button is waiting to be spun – is there any reason why we shouldn’t get this show on the road? We know that we’re eager to bank as much cash as possible; hello to the high life!

      Opening Up

The red box is begging to be opened, so who are you to say no to what it desires? To be in with the chance of getting into the hotseat for yourselves, you’ll need to line up at least three of the bonus icon. After that, boxes will be presented to you that need to be opened up to reveal your prize; there’s five possible outcomes, each of which bring their own unique charms:

      • Go all the Way Bonus
      • Trail of Wealth
      • Seal of Success
      • Power Play
      • Deal or No Deal

Any of these mentioned above can appear. From what we can see, you would assume diversity, and yet the variance isn’t as great as you might have thought. In fact, two of the rounds listed are free spins, simply given different names to make them look more generous than what they are.

      Call Accepted

The Banker calls in this game just as he did in the original show, and just as before it’s a random occurrence; the phone will ring for you, only this time the logo of the game will flash as well, just to make sure you’re aware of his arrival.

Instead of allowing the gameplay to fizzle out like some brands would, Blueprint have ensured that this round has six outcomes instead of five, essentially upping the ante of the What’s In Your Box Bonus. It’s an unexpected move, but we love the surprise of it all. You might get random wilds, but you might just as easily get respins – nobody knows but The Banker!

      Progressive Wins

As we’ve already commented on, there’s three levels of progressive jackpots to work towards, however, only those playing with cash will be able to see them.

The sums will always be listed at the top of the grid, visible throughout your playthrough. What is more, it seems that they can be activated at random, though we never managed to take any of the three prizes home for ourselves. You have the Royal Pot, the Regal Pot and the Jackpot King.

These wins are part of what is known as the Jackpot King Promotional System, meaning it isn’t exclusive to the brand, and so you might see it again on playthroughs with other brands. The progressive payouts are a nice addition, but it’s a shame that they’re not part and parcel of the game itself.

      Always a Winner

Unlike in the game show, here you can always walk away a winner, even if it’s a low paid one, and for that reason alone we love Deal or No Deal: What’s In Your Box more than its TV counterpart.

The dynamics of the gameplay here are wonderfully varied and beautifully rendered, making for an immersive and engaging experience; we were gripped throughout our playthrough. And due to the range of bonuses, you can get a lot of use out of this one game, which can’t be said for many other online slots out there. That being said, the variance is short lived once you realise a lot of the rounds are similar to one another.
