      Triple Play Draw Poker

Triple Play Draw poker is a video poker game that you can play at most online casinos. The game has similarities to Jacks or Better with their payouts and gameplay. However, Triple Play Draw has mechanics to it that give the player more winning opportunities.

Produced by IGT, Triple Play Draw Poker has everything you might want. It has simple yet great features, generous payouts, and a great interface. (1)

Overnight, the Triple Play™ phenomenon took on a life of its own. We were barely able to burn EPROMs fast enough to meet the increasing demand.

But, is Jacks or Better the go-to game for you? After all, there are plenty of other video poker games out there.

We’re going to answer your question by taking an in-depth look at everything that Jacks or Better has. We’ll look at gameplay, payouts, and even strategies.

Then, hopefully by the end of our review, you’ll know whether or not Jacks or Better is for you. Are you ready? Let’s get started!

      How to Play

Triple Play Draw Poker is an extremely easy game to play. As such, it’s a great beginner-level poker title you can use to improve your betting skills. Thanks to its simple features, most online casinos will have a solid user interface for the game, allowing you to play for hours if you want.

      Rules

Triple Play Draw starts with five cards being dealt to you. After you see your five cards, you can then choose to hold certain cards based on their value. Once you’ve chosen the cards you want to hold, you then deal another three hands.

Each hand will deal out cards based on how many cards weren’t held. You are then paid out for each hand if you hit any winning combinations.

      Paytable

Triple Play Draw’s payouts are pretty similar to most video poker titles. In total, there are eleven winning hands that will net you some type of prize. These payouts range from 1X to 80X your wager.

The lowest-paying hand is a pair of jacks or better. With this hand, you’ll be paid 1X your line bet. On the other hand, the highest-paying hand is the royal flush which pays out 80X your line bet.

For more information on the different hands and their respective payouts, be sure to check out our paytable below!

      Hand
      $0.10
      $0.20
      $0.25
      $0.30
      $80 $160 $200 $240
      $5 $10 $12.50 $15
      $8 $16 $20 $24
      $4 $8 $10 $12
      $2.50 $5 $6.25 $7.50
      $0.80 $1.60 $2 $2.40
      $0.50 $1 $1.25 $1.50
      $0.40 $0.80 $1 $1.20
      $0.30 $0.60 $0.75 $0.90
      $0.20 $0.40 $0.50 $0.50
      $0.10 $0.20 $0.25 $0.30

Pairs that are lower than a pair of jacks won’t trigger any payouts. Therefore, hands like a pair of tens or a pair of fives won’t net any winnings.

      Betting

Triple Play Draw has a large betting range, with the minimum bet being $0.10 per hand and the maximum bet being $100 per hand. This means that Triple Play can accommodate a wide range of betting styles, no matter if you’re a low-stakes or high-stakes player.

If you like to keep your money close to you, then you can bet $0.10 per hand and only put $0.30 on the table per round. With just $15, you can get 50 rounds which is more than enough for a few hours of gameplay.

Meanwhile, if you’re a high roller, you can bet $100 per hand which is $300 per round. This can lead to some pretty big payouts if you hit the higher-paying hands.

Based on our experience, we recommend Triple Play Draw to higher-stakes players. Yes, you can make money if you’re betting smaller amounts. However, we’ve found that the more money you’re wagering, the higher chance you make a profit.

      Play Three Hands

One of the most interesting parts of Triple Play Draw is that you play three hands rather than just one. With games like Jacks or Better, you are only playing for one combination.

In Triple Play Draw, you have more flexibility because you have three hands you can win from and you don’t always have to hold cards. If you decide to not hold cards, rather than resetting, the game deals all three hands, allowing you to still have a chance to win some money.

      Triple Play Draw Poker Strategy

Triple Play Draw has some strategies that you can implement in order to increase the probability that you make a profit. A lot of these strategies revolve around knowing when to play certain hands so that you aren’t bleeding money on cards that aren’t worth it.

Are you ready? Let’s get started!

When to Play Jacks or Better

The most common hand is Jacks or Better. These don’t pay you a profit, but it’s still good to hit these since you can conserve winnings. When you’re dealt your first hand, if any of the cards yield a face card, hold it.

You have a decent chance of landing a face card throughout your next three hands. As such, you might be able to hit that same face car, giving you some winnings to work with.

When to Play for a Flush

Flushes can pay out quite well, but that’s only if you hit it. You should only play for a flush if you have four of the same suit and nothing else on the board. This means you don’t have any high pairs or three-of-a-kinds.

When to Play for a Straight

Similar to a flush, you should only play for a straight if you have four cards in sequential order and nothing else to make. An example would be 2, 3, 4, and 5. None of these cards can make anything else on the board and there are eight outs.

In situations like this, you should always go for the straight hand. But, if there’s a face card or a pair of jacks or better, it’s more economical to stick to already-winning hands.

Play Triple Play Draw Poker on Mobile

Triple Play Draw is a pretty popular poker game. As such, you can expect to find this game on most online casinos. Furthermore, because mobile casino gaming is increasing in popularity, you can expect to find Triple Play Draw Poker at most mobile casinos.

Some online casinos might offer an app, but this is rare because there are a lot of complications that come with maintaining a mobile casino app. For instance, there are rules and regulations for each app store.

With Google Play, their app store has only just begun to allow real money casino apps. (2) Furthermore, HTML5 technology is easier to maintain and upgrade.

Google’s Play Store policies changed to permit gambling and betting Android apps that use real money in 15 more countries than before, including the U.S.

As such, most mobile casinos tend to stick with a browser rather than an app since it’s simpler and more affordable.

Nevertheless, because of how popular mobile casino gaming has become, just about every top online casino has made sure their games are mobile-compatible.

Therefore, no matter if you’re at the library or at the beach, you can play Triple Play Draw as long as you have a phone and some type of internet connection.

      Similar Video Poker Games

Video poker is a popular category at most online casinos. As such, there are plenty of other similar video poker games you can check out. Here are our favorite four:

      Jacks or Better

Jacks or Better is the OG video poker game where you try to score at least a pair of jacks or better.

      Deuces or Better

Deuces or Better is like Jacks or Better, only you start winning at a pair of tens instead of a pair of jacks.

      Bonus Poker

Bonus Poker has the same in-game mechanics as Jacks or Better, but the main difference is that you’re paid differently on four-of-a-kind.

      Deuces Wild

Deuces Wild has the same rules as Jacks or Better with the exception of tens being a wild card.

      Overall Rating: 4/5

Triple Play Draw is a very solid game with very few weaknesses. The gameplay is simple and offers plenty of opportunities to win. Payouts are generous and no matter what you hit, you’ll typically make a profit.

The interface is friendly and easy to use. All of these make for a great video poker game that you can enjoy for hours on end. Whereas other titles might get boring, we never really got tired of playing Triple Play Draw.

If you’re looking to make money and also have a good time, Triple Play Draw is the best way to go.
