It’s fairly obvious what this slot game is going to be based on from the title, although if there was ever a product released that provided sexually charged reels and did so in good taste, ‘Showgirls’ from Novomatic would be the product. Offering up all the pleasures of a burlesque show, but providing it on a curtained backdrop and with graphics and animations to entice, this game is by far one of the company’s best offerings to date. There isn’t a trace of arcade music, which has plagued the majority of their products. Instead, your game play will be accompanied by the sound of a jazz band, offering up the deep tones of a double bass and the swish of drums being swept across. This game offers up a very standard layout of five reels and three rows, providing gamers with a very familiar interface on which to play. And in terms of the scatter symbol, this one is represented by the bottle of champagne in an ice bucket. Should you manage to spin three or more of these into view, you’ll trigger the ‘Girls Gone Wild’ feature. During this round, the wild icon is still in effect, but if it appears on the fifth reel, it will fill a rose symbol up next to one of the showgirls. Rose symbols are filled from left to right, and when three of them are filled next to a girl, she will become wild on reels two, three and four. Therefore, she’ll start to substitute for all other icons, in the same way that the standard wild does.

The developer has also seen fit to include a gamble game into this product, which is triggered after every winning spin in the main game. This gives you the chance to take your winnings as they are, or play a side game to be in with a chance of increasing them. If you opt to do this, you’ll be presented with a new screen, which features a deck of playing cards. You simply need to try and guess the colour of the next card to be turned over, black or red. If you do this correctly, your winnings are doubled, while incorrect guesses will see the winnings disappear.
