      Power Joker Slot Review

As far as unique takes on games go, Power Joker definitely presents something new and unique to the world of online slot games. It features all the imagery of a classic slot machine, but brings forth a selection of contemporary extras alongside, giving it the possibility of appealing to gamers of both genres. Overall, its reels and icons are nothing ultimately special in the graphics department, and there’s no specific theme for the game to take on, but it has a certain sort of charm to it, which enables it to stand out. There’s a selection of added sounds in the product as well, which bring a very relevant arcade feel, which is just the type of noises that should be emanating from Power Joker. It’s nostalgic and current, both at the same time, and for once, there’s little that Novomatic have done wrong when creating a game in this sector.

      What’s So Good About It?

Upon first loading the game up, the interface may look a little confusing, as there’s reels and various pieces of information all over the place. However, focusing on the centre of the screen, you’ll see two different sets of reels, each with three columns and three rows. The main game is played on the bottom set, which will be highlighted for the time it’s in use. The imagery of classic slot machines come into play very well, as you’ll find symbols of lemons, cherries, plums, oranges and bells, as well as a colourful looking jester. When moving on to the ‘Supermeter Mode’, which we’ll discuss a little later, the reels will also contain 7s and watermelons as extra icons.

In addition to all of that, you’ll see that there are also five separate pay lines added to the game. These exist as horizontal lines across the three rows, and as a diagonal from either of the left hand corners. Pay lines aren’t able to be customised directly, but the coin value can be changed from its minimum of $0.02 up to its maximum of $10. There’s also a button stating, ‘Coin Bet 1-10’, which offers you the chance to wager a single coin or 10 of them. Choosing to wager a single coin will only see the middle pay line be active, while 10 coins for a maximum wager of $100 will bring all the lines into play. There’s also an ‘Autoplay’ button, which will set the reels spinning for several turns at the same wager level.

      Any Powerful Special Features?

As mentioned, the game features its own base game mode, which is played from the offset, and the ‘Supermeter Mode’. While the first is played on the bottom set of reels, the latter is played upon the top set of reels, and includes the extra aforementioned symbols. This particular round can only be triggered if you’re playing the base game with five win lines in play. Every time you create a winning combination in the main game, this special mode is triggered.

Your winnings will be transferred to the supermeter counter and the available coin bet options are 20, 40, 100 and 200, depending upon the amount of coins logged in the counter. Your total bet is equal to your coin bet multiplied by the coin value. During this mode, all prizes, except jackpot wins, are transferred automatically to the ‘Supermeter’. The coins in this meter can be collected by utilising the ‘Collect Supermeter’ button, and this will end the round. It will also come to an end if there is a zero balance on the counter, or if the counter is greater than or equal to 2000 coins, in which case, they will be automatically collected.

In addition to that, the game features ‘Mystery Wins’. If your coin bet is between one and 10, three jokers appearing on an active win line will award the mystery win. If your coin bet is of 100, a joker in view on the middle reel awards the mystery win. And finally, if your coin bet is the maximum 200, a joker in view on any reel will pay out the mystery win. These prizes are picked randomly from the appropriate ranges indicated on the game screen.

Furthermore, the game features a common progressive mystery jackpot for all bets and currencies, and this is able to be won each game with a certain chance. With the maximum total bet in play, the entire jackpot can be won. If your wagers are lower, a proportion of the jackpot is able to be claimed.

      To Finish…

Power Joker might not be graphically tip top, but it does have a nice selection of extras and some intriguing game play for a product from this range.
