      Flamenco Roses Slot Review

The heat has been turned up and the Spanish guitar has been brought out to strum on. It’s time for a few rounds of flamenco dancing in all its sensuous glory. Flamenco itself is actually an artform which is native to the Spanish regions of Andalusia, Extremadura and Murcia. It was first made reference to in literature in the year of 1774. It’s strongly associated with the gitanos, considered to be the Romani people of Spain, and although there are many theories on where it’s influences come from, the most widespread highlights a Morisco heritage, those being former Muslims who converted to Christianity after Spain outlawed the open practice of Islam in the early 16th century.

Flamenco Roses, from Novomatic, presents players with a very nicely designed game, filled with appropriate icons, relevant soundtrack and compelling special features, all of which come together to form one of the developer’s strongest products available.

      Visions of Beauty

Flamenco is considered to be one of the most beautiful forms of dancing in the world, and the icons which appear in this game only add to the relevance of such a belief. You’ll find symbols of such items as the previously referenced Spanish guitar, a gentleman dancer’s hat, ornate bangles and necklaces of the female companion, as well as nicely designed A, J, K, Q and 10 icons. Of course, a dance such as this can’t be done without the actual artists, so you’ll find both a male and female dancer appearing as symbols on the reels as well.

The game is played on a five reel and three row layout, while Novomatic have also seen fit to include 10 separate pay lines alongside. These are customisable, so you’re able to reduce the number of active lines to a single one if you prefer. Furthermore, the bet placed per line is able to be altered from its minimum of $4, right up to the maximum of $100. That being the case, should all lines be active and the bet amount maxed out, you’ll be able to wager a maximum overall amount of $1,000 per spin.

      Covered by Roses

There’s a few different special features which have been included in this game, starting with the wild symbol. This is represented by the male dancer, and he will substitute for all other icons on the reels, except for the scatters, in order to craft a winning combination. Should you manage to spin five of these across a winning pay line, you’re able to be on the receiving end of up to $20,000!

In addition to this, there’s a golden rose icon which appears on the reels. This is the game’s scatter symbol, and this means that it will pay out regardless of where it shows up. Three or more of them in view anywhere on the reels will trigger the game’s freespins round, with a total of 11 being awarded to you. During this round, should the male dancer wild symbol appear anywhere, it will become fixed in place until the end of the feature, providing stronger opportunities to form winning combinations.

Finally, because this is a Novomatic game, the company has also added their now infamous gamble feature alongside everything else. This is triggered at the end of every win in the main game. It gives you the option of collecting your winnings as they are, or gambling them in a small side game. Should you choose to do this, you’ll be presented with a deck of playing cards. You’ll need to guess the colour of the card which will be turned over next, red or black. A correct guess will double your winnings, while an incorrect guess will see them all lost.

The Strum of the Spanish Guitar

As mentioned, this is one of the better games provided by this developer. It has everything wrapped up into one great package, offering up wonderful graphics and game play in the process. There aren’t a whole host of extra features included, but there doesn’t really need to be. Freespins with sticky wilds as well as an appropriately added wild icon and the gamble feature are fine as they are. We’re just glad that we’re not hearing the arcade tones of doom from this provider in this one!
