      Figaro Slot Review

The word ‘Figaro’ has been used to title many different plays and operas, as well as several publications and entertainment features. However, this game presented to you by High 5 Games is based upon the opera by Mozart, entitled ‘The Marriage of Figaro’. Of course, this opera was based on the play of the same name by French polymath, Pierre Beaumarchais. The Mozart offering is an opera buffa, or comic opera, in four separate acts, which was composed in 1786. The story explains how the two servants, Figaro and Susanna, succeed in marrying one another, despite the best efforts of their employer Count Almaviva, to seduce Susanna himself. It is one of the most frequently performed operas today, and is a cornerstone of the repertoire. Obviously, if there’s an online video slot dedicated to it, then Mozart had to have done something right to make it as big as it is. The game itself is created with some quite high quality graphics, ensuring that your visual experience is as appealing as possible. Unfortunately, you don’t get to experience any opera whilst playing the game, and instead, the developer has opted to integrate a simple and generic set of tones when spinning and forming winning combinations.

Get Ready to Sing Your Aria!

The layout of this game is a little larger than what is found in the majority of online slot machine games, so you’ll be playing on a six reel and four row interface. However, this does offer up bigger chances of forming winning combinations, and it’s upon this layout that you’ll find the game’s various different symbols as well. These start with the often seen A, J, K, Q and 10 icons, and these are joined by more theme-relevant imagery. There are four character icons, which come in the form of the main characters featured within the opera. Those are the Count Almaviva, presented in the opera as a bass vocalist, as well as his wife, Countess Rosina Almaviva. And, of course, the two star-crossed lovers also appear in the form of Susanna, maid to the countess, and Figaro himself, the personal valet to the count.

Players will also find that they can also choose how many lines they wish to bet on by using the arrows at the left hand side of the ‘Lines’ box. This offers the choice of wagering on five lines, 100 lines, 200 lines, 300 lines, or the maximum of 466 pay lines. You’ll also find that next to this box is another one which offers up a multiplier of your wager, so if you’re playing across all lines, the minimum bet for this is $0.90 per spin. However, if you increase the multiplier up, this can be set anywhere between times one to times 1,000. This, therefore, allows a maximum overall wager of $900 to be played per round.

Stop the Count and See Figaro Marry!

So, okay, there’s nothing quite so dramatic to do as that in the game, but it does include a few special features which ensure your overall experience is as entertaining as possible. This begins with its scatter icon, which is represented by the symbol showing the words, ‘Free Games’ on it. This can only appear on reels three, four and five, but will pay out wherever it shows up. If you do manage to spin three in to view, you’ll also activate the freespins round. If you’re only playing five bet lines, you’ll be provided with between two and seven freespins, but for all others, you’ll receive between five and seven freespins.

During the main game and the freespins round, you’ll find a couple of other icons come in to play, which are the ones with the words ‘Figaro’ and ‘Jackpot’ showing on them. The latter of these will only show up on the first reel, but if you manage to spin this onto reel one and the former icon on to any of the other reels, there’s a nice pay out for it. Should five of the ‘Figaro’ and one of the ‘Jackpot’ symbols come into view, you’ll receive a maximum pay out of 1,000 coins. Not only that, but the second of these symbols is a wild icon, substituting for all others on the reels.

The other addition to this game is the expanding wilds feature, and this only occurs in the freespins round. Should you spin an icon with the word, ‘WILD’ on it, it will expand left and substitute for all symbols in the same position on each reel from the initial symbol, up to and including reel two.

      A Night at the Opera

This one is a nice game, filled with intriguing specialities and decent graphics. It has a great theme behind it, which would only be heightened by the inclusion of a great soundtrack.
