We really enjoy online video slots that capture our imagination. And whether that be through a theme which offers up supernatural beings, entry into another land, interesting storytelling, or any other such options, it’s quite freeing to be able to let your brain conjure up its own make believe fairytales. As such, Crystal Kingdom is a product which will allow you to travel across some glimmering icy lands towards a palace made of pure crystal. Not only that, but it also incorporates the idea of a prince rushing off to the palace in order to find the queen of the kingdom so he marry her and become king. And while High 5 Games have utilised the soundtrack included in this game in one or two of their other products, it actually fits in very well with the overall theme, offering up jingling bells and chimes to give a more iced-lands type of feel. The graphics incorporated into the game are pretty nice on the whole, although they’re not quite as outstanding as many other offerings from this developer. But, overall, Crystal Kingdom makes for a very inviting game.

What to Expect from the Unknown World

So, while you’re trudging through the ice and snow of the land, you’ll be spinning the five reel and three row layout of this game. With this being the case, you’ll be playing on a very familiar interface overall. Not only that, but you’ll also find that this is where the various different icons of the game are presented, and these start with what should be quite familiar by now – the A, J, K, Q and 10 symbols. These are joined by a few other icons, and these are more relevant to the integrated theme. The first of them is the icon of a polar bear, and this icon can only show up on reels one and four. The same is the case for the queen of the crystal palace, while the prince in search of her provides another icon, and he is only able to show up on reels two and five.

In addition to the general design of this game, you’ll also be able to see that the developer has added a total of 40 different pay lines into it as well. If you have a preference for doing so, you can easily customise this particular section of the game by using the arrows at the right of the box marked ‘Lines’. Furthermore, all players also have the chance to adjust the wager that they place per spin, and this is done with the remaining set of arrow buttons. Here, you can choose from a range of between $0.01 per line and $10 per line, giving you the option of placing a maximum overall wager of $400 per round.

Diamonds Aplenty

So, okay, there aren’t actually any diamonds available in the game, but there are some wonderful special features incorporated. The first of these can be witnessed right from the moment you form a winning combination on the reels, and this is the ‘Tumbling Reels Feature’. Any standard wins, as well as scatter wins, will trigger this particular round. After your wins are awarded, all of the symbol included within the combination will disappear. Empty symbol positions will then be filled by icons falling from the top of the reels, and if another win is formed, the same occurs again. This continues until no further wins can be made.

The game’s own logo represents its wild symbol, and as such, it will stand in for all others on the reels, with the exception of the freespins icon, in order to form a winning combination. It will also count as a double symbol, should it appear on a pay line with two or more others of the same. The wild can only show up on reels two, three and four.

Finally, the ‘Free Games’ icon is what represents this game’s scatter symbol, and if three of these show up in any location on the reels, you’ll trigger the freespins round. The scatters can only show up on reels one, two and three, but whenever three come into view, the reward will be between six and 16 freespins altogether.

This game offers its players a wonderfully designed product with some nicely incorporated special features. Not only that, but it tells a story, and as we mentioned, it really allows you to make up an imaginative plot line for it.
