      Blue Heart Slot Review

Two canny jewel thieves are attempting to bag themselves some impressive loot here in Blue Heart; will you help them by spinning your reels successfully?

This slot game from EGT is one of the most generous in their collection. There are 100 paylines to enjoy for starters, with five reels and four rows offering plenty of winning potential. Then there are stacked wilds, a free spins bonus round and EGT’s world famous Jackpot Cards feature. This is a refreshing change for EGT who are quite fond of producing modern fruit machine type slots.

      Genius Jewels

The key to unlocking the biggest prizes in Blue Hearts is the jewels. But first things first, there are the playing card symbols that still offer some solid wins. These are split right down the middle: Queen and Jack pay 5 coins, 25 coins and 100 coins for matching three, four or five on your reels respectively, whilst the Ace and King earn players 5 coins, 50 coins and 125 coins, based on the minimum 100 coin bet.

Then we’ll get into where the real money is to be made: the jewels. The Purple and Yellow jewels reward players for matching three on their reels with 10 coins, four matches earns 100 coins and a line of five pays 200 coins.

The Green jewel is next up, and your friends will be green with envy if you pick up one of these prizes: 25 coins for three, 150 coins for four and 350 coins for five.

The Red ruby is perhaps the most eye-catching of all the jewels, and it pays out some eyebrow-raising prizes too. If you spin a red treble you will earn 25 coins, a quadruple pays 150 coins and the full nap hand rewards gamers with a very nice 400 coins.

The top two of the main game prizes are the two Jewel Thieves. We’re not sure who is in charge and who is the accomplice out of the male and female characters, but it doesn’t matter really as they both pay the same amount: 50 coins for three, 200 coins for four and 600 coins for the full set.

      Blue is the Colour

But the symbols that these two plucky thieves are really looking out for are the scatter and the stacked wild. The stacked wild is the bright Blue jewel, and this offers two bonuses to players lucky enough to find their reels turning blue. Spin three and you’ll be paid 100 coins, spin four and you will pick up 225 coins, and manage to spin five in a row on your reels and you will earn the princely sum of 1,000 coins.

You really won’t be feeling blue if you spin this stacked wild. As the name suggests, this symbol fills your reels and substitutes for all others; as a result, it can create some pretty phenomenal winning combinations, especially on spins where there doesn’t appear to be anything of interest at first glance.

Then there’s the scatter, which is presented in the form of a stacked Jewellery Case. Spin three of these on reels 2, 3 and 4 and not only will you earn a payout of 200 coins (very nice indeed), you will also trigger the free spins bonus round. Enjoy these, as they accumulate some very nice earnings. Freebies can be re-triggered – and another ten will be added to your allotment – with all wins paid at the standard bet amount.

For wins of amounts less than 3,500 coins, you can try and gamble your winnings for the chance to double up. When you spin a winner you will be presented with two options: Gamble or Collect. Choose Collect if you are happy with your win and the amount will be added to your tally. If you want to try and win some more, click Gamble. Then you’ll need to correctly guess the colour of a playing card: red or black.

      Jackpot Cards

Of course, the fun doesn’t stop there in Blue Hearts. There is the four-level mystery jackpot feature, Jackpot Cards, which pays out at the rate displayed in those fast and furious number tallies at the top of your screen.

So far, so good. So how do you win one of the four jackpots? Well, it’s pretty simple actually. You will be presented with 12 cards in a pick field, and you will select your cards until three of the same suit is revealed. You will win the amount at the top of the screen accordingly.

The best thing about Jackpot Cards is that it is triggered randomly regardless of your bet stake; so even smaller budget players have an opportunity to earn some huge prizes.

Overall this is a decent Jewels and Gems themed slot by EGT. I enjoyed it and would come back to play again when the mood strikes me.
