As a kid, Snow White was a charming Disney film that occasionally veered into some dark places. As an adult, the story resonates more powerfully than ever as you contemplate the treachery of a mirror that would betray the fair maiden by repeatedly extolling her beauty to the wicked queen. Such qualms aside, Snow White set the benchmark by which all subsequent Disney princesses were measured.

Aesthetically, Fairest of Them All is a Marmite slot: you’ll either love or hate the way in which Ash Gaming have rendered the characters. One thing’s for sure, this game certainly isn’t short on colours: you’ve never seen a forest filled with so many shades of green or an evil queen who wore so much lurid eye shadow.

Ways to Win

The bog standard playing card symbols aren’t much to look at, but the proprietary symbols, including the charmless Prince Charming, evil queen and Snow White in her glass coffin are far more fetching. There’s also an apple, naturally, and a gormless looking dwarf who surfaces as scatter.

Incidentally, did you ever stop to think that Snow White and the poisoned apple is an allegory for the original sin when Eve ate of the forbidden fruit in the garden of Eden? Just a thought.

There’s a lot of ways to win in this game – six to be precise, over and above anything that can be won in the base game. This super six include a butterfly that will flutter onto the reels to grant you between one and five scatters. Wooing woodland animals and insects was Snow White’s party trick remember. The owl performs a similar role, alighting on the reels to dispense between one and five wilds.

There’s also a rabbit who’ll supply between one and three stacked wilds and a bird that will alight nursing a win multiplier of up to 30x. The Magic Mirror will grant free spins including locking spins while Guardian Angel will dispense reel modifiers just to further meddle with the base game.

The Bonuses

Silver Dust and Gold Dust are the game’s two primary bonuses. Silver will respin two or three reels, converting a losing spin into a winning one in the process. Fairest of Them All is a fine take on a classic fairy tale. Graphically, the slot isn’t the best offering Ash Gaming have ever released, but it’s no slouch either.
